**Position Overview**
The Shipping Coordinator is a key member of Copeland's Forney, TX Distribution Center team. This role ensures smooth, efficient, and cost-effective shipping and warehouse operations. You'll manage daily shipments of finished goods and raw materials, coordinate with carriers, maintain accurate documentation, and support warehouse activities-helping keep our supply chain running seamlessly.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Shipping Operations**
+ Coordinate daily shipments of finished goods, raw materials, and special freight (air, ground, expedited).
+ Prepare and manage Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and other shipping documentation; verify shipments before release.
+ Schedule and confirm carrier pickups for LTL, TL, and other freight.
+ Monitor trailer utilization to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
+ Track inbound and outbound shipments, maintain accurate system records, and report on shipping performance.
+ Handle incoming RMAs and coordinate with the Reynosa, MX shipping/receiving team as needed.
**Warehouse Support**
+ Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring drivers are scheduled and processed efficiently.
+ Act as the main point of contact for dock activities, prioritizing loading and unloading with warehouse staff.
+ Log and track shipments to support accurate inventory and delivery records.
+ Collaborate with supervisors and leads to optimize workflow, meet productivity targets, and maintain a safe work environment.
+ Monitor warehouse organization and compliance, upholding safety and operational standards.
**Distribution Center Coordination**
+ Communicate with carriers, brokers, and 3PLs to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
+ Serve as a liaison between shipping, warehouse, customer service, and transportation teams.
+ Support DC leadership in executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and driving process improvements.
**Required Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
+ 3-5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or distribution center operations (manufacturing experience preferred).
+ Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency with Oracle, iPlan, or similar ERP/shipping systems.
+ Experience in load planning and warehouse management systems (e.g., Manhattan Scale WMS) preferred.
+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
+ Legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
**Schedule:**
+ Monday-Friday, 10-hour day shift (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

This position will perform shipping operation duties to ensure a quality product is packaged, prepared, and loaded for delivery to customers in a safe manner.

Responsibilities :

  • Accurately count and record products by category.
  • Enter inventory results into Excel and the inventory database.
  • Identify and flag any non-conforming product (code, label, short fill, missing carton, leakier, etc.).
  • Assign orders to other shipping associates from load-out sheets.
  • Review available products by code date both visibly and in electronic inventory to ensure proper product rotation.
  • Ensure all product is assembled in the staging area for loading.
  • Direct movement of trailers throughout the load-out period.
  • Prepare paperwork for the oncoming shift.
  • Complete all required documentation and schedule product checks.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience :
  • Minimum age: 18
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.
  • Refrigerated warehouse and shipping experience.
  • Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (focus on Excel) preferred.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
  • Forklift and/or pallet jack certification as provided by the company.
Physical Demand/Working Conditions:
  • May be required to lift, carry, and lower items 50 pounds from a height of
  • approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to work in cold environment (30 to 40 degrees) and in a wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals; PPE provided.
  • Required to stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, and reach above and below the shoulder.
  • Repetition of Hand/Wrist Simple Grasping, Firm grasping.

Schedule: 6:00AM - 6:00PM with 2 days off (rotating)

Pay: $18.13 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment: The primary function of this position is order fulfillment. Pack, label, and ship prescription medication and over-the-counter products with efficiency to quality assurance standards.

Order Fulfillment Oversight: Coordinate the daily shipping schedule to ensure prescription medications and over-the-counter products are packed, labeled, and shipped with precision.

Compliance Adherence: Maintain compliance with all pharmaceutical shipping regulations, including HIPAA, state, and federal guidelines.

Carrier Management: Liaise with shipping carriers to arrange deliveries, negotiate shipping rates, and monitor service performance.

Documentation Management: Verify shipping documentation, including invoices, shipping labels, and compliance paperwork.

Tracking and Reporting: Monitor shipments, troubleshoot delays, and provide updates to customers and internal teams.

Inventory Coordination: Work with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure proper stock levels of packaging supplies and other shipping materials.

Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues such as lost packages, delayed deliveries, or customer concerns.

Customer Communication: Collaborate with customer service to handle shipping inquiries professionally and efficiently.

Requirements:

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related role, preferably in the healthcare or e-commerce industry.

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical shipping practices and regulations is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient with shipping software and logistics platforms.

• Familiarity with inventory management systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Skills:

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Excellent communication skills for internal and external coordination.

• High attention to detail to ensure shipping accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods during the workday.
