Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). We are seeking a Social Media marketing leader to build Project Kuiper's global social media presence from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to establish the social voice and digital community for a bold new brand with a big mission. You will develop and execute the social media strategy for one of Amazon's most ambitious initiatives, working with global and cross-functional colleagues to build a world-class social program that creates meaningful connections with diverse audiences of millions worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across all relevant areas, growing audience and engagement and establishing Project Kuiper as a leading social media presence.
- Build an agency support team of social media experts to deliver world-class content and community management.
- Create and manage relationships with relevant influential voices to amplify Kuiper's mission.
- Design and implement paid boosting programs to drive audience growth, awareness and engagement.
- Establish measurement frameworks and KPIs to track performance.
- Monitor business metrics and regularly report on performance up to VP level, adjusting strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PR, Brand Marketing, and Product to ensure consistent messaging and maximize impact.
- Drive innovative approaches to social storytelling that bring Project Kuiper's mission and technology to life.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life
This is a highly visible role that will shape how Project Kuiper connects with audiences globally. You will own strategy development, lead team planning and execution, engage with senior stakeholders, and end-to-end own Kuiper's social presence. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where you'll need to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, while building and managing a support team to deliver exceptional social media programs at scale.
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Proven track record of end-to-end building and scaling social media programs for major brands, from bold strategic vision to on-the-ground execution.
- Deep understanding of social media, best practices, and emerging trends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing activations with a primary objective of driving social media engagement.

Key job responsibilities

- Serve as subject matter expert on social media best practices and emerging trends to ensure Prime Air remains best in class in social strategy and execution, including agile production capabilities.
- Bring proven creative, analytical, and strategic capabilities to imagine, develop, plan, implement, and optimize compelling campaigns that deliver results-thinking strategically and executing flawlessly.
- Work with internal creative partners to deliver the best-in-class campaigns and content to our customers. Comfortable being a hands-on content creator where necessary.

Basic Qualifications
