Kavaliro is seeking a PeopleSoft Application Developer in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical solution design, development, deployment/cutover, and implementation covering all technical aspects of the PeopleSoft implementation lifecycle
  • Provide hands-on technical solutions to business challenges and translate them into process/technical solutions
  • Provide technical development, utilizing PeopleTools, and system design skills
  • Work with Requirements Analysts to understand user stories and deliver features/capabilities each sprint
  • Analyze the impacts of vendor-provided updates and upgrades to the system
  • Work with Product Owner and Requirements Analyst to suggest novel approaches to minimize product customizations
  • Provide production support by analyzing, designing, programming, and testing solutions to complex production problems
  • Develop test scenarios and test cases
  • Correct data in critical situations
Required Qualifications
  • Current and active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or a computer-related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • 5+ years of experience in information systems implementation, change management efforts, or application process redesign
  • 3+ years of technical development experience with PeopleSoft™ HRMS ERP, including recent experience with PeopleSoft™ 9.x
  • 5+ years of experience in developing, prototyping, and testing solutions for information systems implementation
  • 2+ years of experience with ORACLE and SQL commands
  • Technical development experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology
  • Technical development experience implementing PeopleSoft™
  • Ability to work onsite in Chantilly, VA

  • Experience applying broad management skills and specialized functional/technical expertise to lead information systems projects
  • Experience providing subject matter expertise in industry, process, or technology areas

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of an Oracle ERP Specialist / Information Technology Specialist (APPS-CLOUD). This position is in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The incumbent works closely with the Office of the Chief Financial Officer and other District government stakeholders in conducting work that involves the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Analyzes and refines system requirements and translates requirements into applications
  • Installing, configuring, testing, and implementing modifications to Oracle ERP or EPM Cloud
  • Troubleshooting and working with vendors to resolve issues with system availability, functionality, and performance
  • Performing requirements analysis, application design and develops technical design documents
  • Planning and coordinating the installation, configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of business applications
  • Determines output media/formats in order to exchange data between and within systems
  • Implements revisions to IT systems to sustain appropriate system performance
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications : Five (5) years of progressive experience performing the related duties and responsibilities such as gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications; providing production support of enterprise applications; expertise in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of application software; and the ability to interact with various stakeholders. Oracle ERP/EPM Cloud experience preferred.

What will you be doing?

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity:

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or experience in lieu of degree
  • At least 12 years of directly related experience including at least 3 years of principal or staff-level engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Object Oriented development (C#, Java, C++, Python, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of DevOps or systems administration
  • Continuous integration/deployment experience

The following may be used to differentiate candidates who apply for this position:

  • Proven experience leveraging strategic vision with strong technical expertise to design and deliver scalable, high-performance software solutions.
  • Deep understanding of system design, database, distributed systems, and cloud provider (AWS, Azure)
  • Significant experience in C#/.Net development including Blazor Server and other object-oriented languages (Java, Python, etc.)
  • Experience leading teams through transitions to modern architectures or platforms (e.g. - monolith to microservices) is a plus
  • Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $112,000 - $152,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
