Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineering Lead to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc.
The Software Engineering lead will lead a team that works with the software and controls development efforts related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes that will define the future roadmaps of semiconductor logic, memory, heterogenous integration, and chip cooling.
Responsibilities
Conducts software development for novel semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Assists in researching and procurement of various equipment sub-systems.

Five years' experience in software engineering leadership
Experience working with real-time image processing (preferred)
Strong software development skills in a variety of languages, including C, C++, Python, or some other combination of low-level and high-level languages.
Expertise with MATLAB, Simulink, or related control and simulation software.
Strong understanding of software structure, architectural design, and object-oriented programming, as well as build systems, revision control, and software lifecycle management.
Experience writing and working with software requirements and specifications.
