Under the direction of the Site PSM, Government Client Leadership or designate, lead a team involved in all phases of passport processing, customer service and PRISM functions. Includes planning, directing and coordination of the daily activities of mail open, cashier, image capture, image review, data entry, bookprint, quality control, customer service functions such as searches, re-writes, re-issues, re-mails and all PRISM functions. Assure sufficient inventory of passports and other supplies are on hand to meet current and anticipated demand.
Future duties and responsibilities
The Section Leader leads and manages a team of Support Associates. Responsibilities include setting work priorities and ensuring a smooth transition of work between the various teams. If requested by Government management, ensure that a sufficient inventory of Passports and other supplies are on hand to meet current and anticipated demand. The Section Leader serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in critical roles and frequently liaises with onsite Government Management. Critical roles such as, Passport services' processing work functions (mail open, cashier, image capture, image review, data entry, book print/card print, quality control and PRISM), customer service, fraud, cashier, passport product control, and supervise at any level within the Agency/Center. Anticipated tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the daily activities of mail open, cashier, image capture, image review, data entry, book print/card print, quality control and PRISM. Plan and follow established procedures and methods to meet changing processing requirements
- Provide regular operational feedback, management meetings, status updates, attendance reporting, training records, and other production activity reporting
- Perform workload management in all Passport task areas to include, Mail Open, LB/Scanning, Image Review, Book Print, Quality Control, Mail Out, PRISM or Customer Service
- Notify the Passport Support Manager of any problems or issues with staff adherence to procedures, any internal controls violations
- Monitor workload and make recommendations to the Government on how to divide work among support staff
- Monitor contractor personnel performance and ensure that work is performed in accordance with performance standards, established procedures, and internal controls
- Assist with prioritizing will calls, expedites, and routine work
- Assist in training contract personnel in their duties and tasks, helping to constantly improve the training process/procedure
- Make recommendations to the Government to improve processes and assist with problem solving and continuous improvement
- Maintain flexibility to meet organizational production and service goals, as required by the workload, and per the direction of the Government
- Maintain control and oversight of blank Passport books/cards and other accountable items
- In the event that the Passport Support Manager is absent for any reason, for a period no longer than two weeks, a Section Leader may serve as Acting Passport Support Manager.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Good oral and written communication skills

  • Performs all personnel functions for all clinical laboratory staff including approving PTO, preparing bi-weekly time sheets, and completing all annual evaluations.
  • Oversee daily operations of clinical laboratory, including LIS and interfaces with EMR, and equipment maintenance agreements.
  • Maintains all laboratory records and procedure manuals in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors laboratory performance for compliance with accreditation, federal, and state regulatory requirements and reports deficiencies to administration.
  • Writes/updates lab policies and SOPs as necessary.
  • Analyzes new tests to be implemented and assists in equipment acquisition and validation studies before new processes are put into use in conjunction with the Laboratory Medical Director.
  • Reviews lot-to-lot studies, linearities, and instrument correlations as needed.
  • Reviews calibrations and Quality control monthly.
  • Acquires appropriate proficiency testing material that meets NYSDOH guidelines.
  • Reviews results and provides corrective action as needed.
  • Responsible for pulling monthly statistics of volume of testing performed.
  • Ensures competencies are performed by all staff upon hire, in six months, and annually.
  • Ensures licensed medical technicians and technologists have documented 12 hours of continuing education annually.
  • Responsible for all equipment maintenance schedules/service contracts and facilitating repairs.

Accounting Supervisor

StaffBuffalo is working with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in South Buffalo to hire an Accounting Supervisor, paying up to $75,000/year with phenomenal benefits including free college tuition benefits! This full-time, on-site Accounting Supervisor role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is ready to step into a position with more ownership, leadership, and problem-solving responsibilities.

As the Accounting Supervisor, you will be trusted to lead the full financial statement process, maintain key schedules, and perform critical reconciliations that keep the organization’s finances running smoothly. The Accounting Supervisor will collaborate closely with leadership during the close process, while also maintaining independence over much of the detail work, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and variance analysis. After initial training, the Accounting Supervisor will have the autonomy to make this role their own and play a vital part in strengthening the organization’s financial operations.

This is an on-site position based in South Buffalo.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of financial statement preparation, including maintaining supporting schedules and ensuring accurate reconciliations.
  • Review accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets, escalating discrepancies when necessary.
  • Analyze year-over-year variances and provide insights to leadership.
  • Lead monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion of reporting.
  • Research accounting questions independently, with a curiosity for the ‘why’ behind the numbers.
  • Maintain compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Provide initial support and direction to accounting staff, balancing leadership with collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full financial statement preparation.
  • Strong reconciliation and accrual accounting experience.
  • Analytical curiosity with the ability to investigate discrepancies and problem-solve independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to review work and keep schedules on track.

Act as the clinical resource person, working as a team with the nurse manager, staff and the provider to identify the plan of care for each patient. Supports nurse manager in developing work plans that enable the unit to reach financial/quality/safety/operational targets. Provide superior customer service by modeling the Brand Promise and Core Values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Oversees & assures short & long term Nursing Dept. staff schedules per established guidelines.

· Facilitates units in emergency medical assessment & care of residents including interventions, transportation & other resources needed.

· Serves as a clinical resource person to staff in problem solving, assessments, special procedures & clinical skill enhancements.

· Coordinates with the Nursing Staff resident units & admissions dept. the rapid admission of residents including obtaining evaluations as indicated.

· Serves as adjunct to staff development coordinator in promoting planned in-services to nursing staff as per master schedule/plan.

· Provides continuity of resident status with hospital supervisory staff, and Nursing Administration.

· Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting with residents, families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtime and assuring appropriate completion of required records.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program

· One to three years of nursing experience required.

· Registered in NYS as a registered nurse professional.
