**Position Purpose:**
CST Residency provides students in their last semester of Surgical Technology programs the opportunity to earn money while completing clinical hours in operating rooms throughout Saint Alphonsus Health System. Under the supervision of Certified Surgical Technologists, CST residents will assist in the Main OR practicing skills, experiencing a variety of surgical cases, and expanding their learning. Students have the opportunity to work on a variety of service lines, including trauma, as Saint Alphonsus is the region's only Level II Trauma Center.
After completing the CST Program and certifying with the NBSTSA or NCCT, residents may have the opportunity to transfer to a certified CST position.
**Schedule Information and Benefits:**
+ Flexible Schedule: Position will be scheduled for part-time hours and will vary based on department needs.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Must maintain current enrollment in a Certified Scrub Technologist Program and be within 9 months of graduation.
+ At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
