The Defense group at Leidos has a career opening for a Journeyman System Administrator on a DISA contract. This role is primarily on the customer site at Ft Meade, MD. Administrator will provide support for assigned systems supporting Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide mid-level skillset for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.

  • Provide support for ticket escalation on major outages.

  • Be able to work in a rapid paced environment at times.

  • Provide strategic leadership and input with development partners to ensure customers understand emerging needs and technological advancements.

  • Lead the onboarding and standup of new enclaves and environments as needed.

  • Interacts with Tier III support and evaluates vendor products.

  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

  • Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures.

  • Application of security settings and other commercial best

  • Provides coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 4+ years of overall related experience with a Windows/Linux server environment. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Windows, Linux, and Solaris Server experience with an expertise in at least one.

  • Extensive experience working with virtual environments using VMware and VDI practices.

  • Currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI is required for this position.

  • Currently possess DoD 8570 certification at least IAT level II, e.g. Security+ CE.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Integration of cyber security tools and systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired.

  • Candidates with a thorough knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP a plus.

  • Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow

  • ITIL v3 Foundation certified

You will implement new processes, maintain current NetSuite operations, identify issues and troubleshoot problems. You will also contribute to all new implementation projects and developing and delivering training with support from the Project Manager, the Accounting & Finance team members, and Operations team members.

This role will be hybrid out of our Lanham, MD office.

Your Impact:
  • Collaborate with various internal clients to ensure the NetSuite environment supports their needs and the needs of our clients.
  • Contribute to implementation projects across all business units and subsidiaries.
  • Work with Project Manager, outside consultants, and members of accounting, finance, operations, and other members within the organization.
  • Implement expansions and create reporting of NetSuite as new business units are added.
  • Work with internal teams to define and document requirements.
  • Provide training to new and existing users of NetSuite and support for all employees as the business continues to grow.
  • Provide and enhance specific reporting needs for each business unit leader and management team.
  • Improve accounting processes and workflows for various segments of the business.
  • Create management-level dashboards for various business unit/executive leaders.
  • Conduct user requirements sessions to determine current state workflows.
  • Define and document user requirements.
  • Act as contact for internal users; understanding internal business processes to effectively bring them into NetSuite.
Your Profile:
  • 3+ years of experience managing and/or administration of NetSuite.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong experience with NetSuite (including implementation) required.
  • SAP Concur or similar expense system-related skilled (including integrations) preferred
  • Understanding of general Finance and Accounting and how to apply it to system management.
  • Understanding of NetSuite security and ability to implement according to the Moore Security Policy.
  • Ability to work with end users and develop solutions to user opportunities and requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in managing a large-scale NetSuite environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work across various functions.
  • Experience with integrating data between multiple platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take ownership, prioritize, and pay attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in a high-growth and fast paced environment and leading charge.
