Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), TX
ATS is seeking a qualified Information Technology Specialist System Administrator to support the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Mission Training Complex (MTC) Contract with Simulation/Stimulation training support. Support to the MTC shall include integrated individual and collective Mission Command (MC) staff training and exercise via live, virtual and constructive modeling and simulations (e.g., Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC)) for home station, mission planning and rehearsal, and pre-deployment training ranging from platoon up to Combined Joint Task Forces (CJTF) levels with its Areas of Operations, to include Constructive and Gaming support to Title 10 Army training, Joint Training Plan (JTP), Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) engagement plan, Mission Rehearsals, Joint Interagency, Intergovernmental and Multinational (JIIM), and other multinational training are critical support elements for the MTC.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the management of all MTC network infrastructure tools and applications, servers and database's that reside on the MTCs LAN/WAN/WLAN.
- Ensure compliance with the pertinent legal, regulatory directives, and RMF requirements.
- Serves as a senior system administrator to analyze, modify, and implement computer programs.
- Analyzes cause of system failures, evaluates processing impact, and develops alternatives.
- Develops recovery plans for all system failures and situations to include "quick fixes" for the restoration of production on multiple integrated computers.
Required Qualifications:
- The appropriate DOD 8570.01-M baseline certifications as an IAT level II.
- Must have knowledge of principles and methods for the integration of information system components, analysis techniques, system software, and hardware operating characteristics.
- Must have knowledge as a senior system administrator to analyze, modify, and implement computer programs.
- Knowledge and ability to analyze cause of system failures, evaluates processing impact, and develops alternatives.
- Ability to develop recovery plans for all system failures and situations to include "quick fixes" for the restoration of production on multiple integrated computers.
- Knowledge of creating and providing technical documentation for servers, and all information systems and associated applications.
- Knowledge of operating systems and applications to include Windows Server 2012, LINUX, and VMware.
- Ability and knowledge of troubleshooting problems to determine mission impact and makes recommended corrective actions.
- Knowledge in developing and executing recovery plans to fully restore all IT operational assets.
- Knowledgeable of standard system recovery techniques, Data Base Management System recovery techniques, development of quick utility programs to isolate problem causes (hardware, software, application program); enhance the detection of damaged or lost files; and measure restored systems performance.
- Knowledgeable of the CISCO Unified Configuration Manager (CUCM) installation, operations, and software upgrade, provided STIGs directed by DISA.
- Must have the ability to install, configure and operate VOISUS systems to operate with tactical and Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment approved by DoD.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Design, deploy and administer virtualized platforms, using VMWare.
Configure and manage Linux and Solaris operating systems.
Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementation of operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ten (10) years or more experience as a Linux Systems Administrator supporting the Intelligence Community in enterprise infrastructure-related programs.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. Five years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fifteen (15) years or more experience as a Linux Systems Administrator.
Experience in implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access is desired.
Understanding networking components is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
