**About Your Role**
The VP - Information Technology will increase focus and visibility for Issuer Solutions, drive accountability and quality, roadmap delivery, appropriate level of innovation and transformation through standardization for the industry and sustain engineering managed. You will lead delivery of teams across development to implementation to production support and resources through alignment and appropriate prioritization.
**What you'll do:**
+ Lead team and others through strategic organizational change initiative while you partner with business stakeholders, client relationship managers and senior leadership to deliver strategic roadmaps on a metric driven approach to measure progress on platforms across SDLC KPIs and support
+ Participate in project planning and oversee development and delivery while be the single escalation point to senior leadership, and ensure developers deliver quality code, meeting coding and cyber standards
+ Structure team to ensure engagement and alignment of resources and skills to address support, development, and client delivery expectations
+ Embed the continuous improvement culture with assessment of processes, controls, quality, and development practices across the team while you support a culture that rewards success and promotes collaboration
+ Assess and remediate controls (reputational, financial, operational) and associated monitoring of existing environment
+ Build structure and succession with team leaders to be able to operate without day-to-day guidance by establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and process owners to enable the organization to become self-standing, addressing single points of failure and make it process dependent
+ Ensure investment in appropriate documentation for the platforms to allow for supportability, risk mitigation through cross training and support new resource onboarding
+ Leverage off-shore resourcing including consultants effectively with investment in pre-requisites, work allocation and guidance, creates culture of trust to off-shore certain projects with oversight
**Experience you'll need to have:**
+ 15+ years of experience in software development, and good understanding of modern practices like Cloud, DevOps, Agile, Java, APIs, modern frameworks, databases etc.
+ 6+ years of management experience at an enterprise level using a broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes, and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
+ 6+ years of experience leading teams in developing micro services and micro batch modern technology
+ Experience acting as a liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applying equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and workflow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
**Experience that would be great to have:**
+ Experience working in the Financial Services industry or specifically with Fiserv products and services is a strong plus
+ Ability to effectively communicate and navigate through complex program delivery, ensuring meeting roadmap delivery and timelines working across multiple stakeholders
+ Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities

**How you'll work:**

The Position
The support technician is responsible for providing both in-person and remote technical assistance for company personnel and assigned hardware and software. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical aptitude along with strong communication and problem-solving capabilities. **JOB SUMMARY**
The IT Manager is responsible for verifying the IT landscape supports the property business goals safely, securely, and effectively. This integral role demonstrates key information technology and computer science skills which enhance escalated support for property IT infrastructure and hardware, including repairs, installations, maintenance of systems for designated property/properties. The IT Manager assists the Area IT Manager to identify and forecast future technology needs and provides input into budgetary proposals for capital expenditures. A key responsibility of the IT Manager is to collaborate with various technology vendors to validate that property IT solutions meet the needs of guests, associates, owners and property leaders.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; 2-4 years' experience in Information Technology or related professional area.
OR
- 2-year degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related major; and 2 years' experience in related professional area.
- 4-year degree from an accredited university or college in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related major.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Prior hospitality system-related experience, professional certifications desired.
**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
- Manage technology needs within budget targets.
- Assist and/or provide input to IT Leadership for capital expenditures (CAPEX) and department operating budget based on anticipated IT projects and property requirements, including anticipated ROI on technology investments.
- Analyze and assess current IT landscape on property and prepare estimate for necessary technology upgrades and improvements to meet those business needs.
- Evaluate and verify that each area of responsibility is in compliance with appropriate Marriott International Policies (MIPs).
- Implement solutions as directed to resolve IT discrepancies.
- Order required equipment as directed relating to personal computers, telecommunications, local servers and networks, and process vendor invoices.
- Conduct periodic inventories of applications and hardware; prepare reports for property management as requested.
- Analyze and validate that technology assets are secured; document and escalate all identified security risks in accordance with applicable MIP.
- Comply with technology-related vendor contracts.
Building and Sustaining Relationships
- Write and present proposals, analyses, project plans, cost models, etc. in written and/or oral formats.
- Provide customer service to property leadership and associates at dedicated property/properties.
- Respond to inquiries from customers/vendors/peer group.
- Provide detailed status reports as requested, coordinate 3rd party vendor management, and escalation support.
- Ensuring client Technology needs are met
- Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity as it relates to technology.
- Provide technical guidance for assigned locations.
- Escalate support for all Marriott approved technology solutions (i.e. mobility devices, GPNS) & Request Center Processes through Tier Escalation process).
- Provide escalation and guidance to property pertaining to guest & associate internet access requirement.
- Escalate problems as appropriate through direct supervisor, US/Can IT Field and/or Global IT resources.
- Image desktops, install new software applications, apply patches, map drives to appropriate servers and/or networks.
- Move/add/change PCs/peripherals, migrating data when necessary.
- Perform routine desktop backup as scheduled or directed.
- Provide end-user support.
- Confirm technology security (i.e. encryption, patch deployment) and technology compliance (i.e. Quarterly audit measures are in place).
- Support unit infrastructure (servers, switches, router, APs etc.) and engage appropriate MI IT and/or vendor resources.
- Assist in creating and maintaining secure server environment. Perform server backups and routine preventative maintenance.
- Provide project support for corporate, regional and property initiatives.
Project Management
- Execute IT Hotel projects and manage vendor installations.
- Conduct quarterly and annual IT audit and provide plan and recommendations to remediate any deficiencies identified during the process.
- Provide guidance on compliance with Marriott IT and Security Standards.
The hourly pay range for this position is $30.86 to $51.11.
