A key focus is partnering with school and district leaders to align technology systems with both instructional priorities and district-wide strategic goals.
The Executive Director leads a complex, cross-functional department responsible for enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, data systems, device management, and end-user support including classroom integration. By developing robust systems and efficient workflows, this role enables schools and departments to focus on teaching, learning, and mission-aligned work. The Executive Director exercises independent decision-making within the scope of departmental responsibility and manages a significant capital and general fund budget aligned with strategic priorities.
The Executive Director serves as a member of the district's central leadership team, contributing to long-range planning and integrated support for schools while working in close collaboration with and under the supervision of the Deputy Superintendent.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required; preference for a field related to information technology, computer science, educational technology, or a closely related discipline
- Minimum of seven years of management and supervisory experience, preferably in an information technology environment
- Experience delivering operational and instructional technology solutions in a PreK-12 educational setting strongly preferred
- Certification and experience in change management or project management preferred
- Must have access to and use of a personal vehicle for district-related travel
- Note: A combination of education and directly related experience may substitute for specific fields or stated educational requirements
