Overview

CreekTech is offering a unique DoD SkillBridge opportunity for transitioning military members seeking to gain valuable experience in Information Technology Systems and Network Administration. This role supports our Domain Name Server, Windows, SharePoint (cloud), and Exchange servers (cloud), Network Attached Storage (NAS), cloud-based storage, our PBX and VoIP system, switches, routers, wireless devices, user computers, printers, and wired security system. Daily tasks may include installing, upgrading, patching, and monitoring software and hardware. SkillBridge participants will support the Systems Administrator with maintaining the essentials such as operating systems, business applications, security tools, webservers, email, laptop, and desktop PCs.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver Tier I/II support for internal users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues

The Integrated Development Office (IDO) seeks to hire a senior-level, NH-04 Information Technology Management professional at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. The intern will actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership. HII Mission Technologies Internship programs are focused on placing transitioning military into internships that require KSAs, Education & Military Training similar to their current or previous military jobs; positions that could easily transition over to a full-time regular and permanent job with HII.
Program Of Instruction
For this internship, the SkillBridge intern will train as an Information Technology Analyst within HII-Mission Technologies, reporting to a designated HII Supervisor, with the goal of refining and enhancing current Information Technology Analyst fundamentals and principles. The intern will be assigned special projects as needed.
Desired End State (3-4 month target)
+ At the end of four months, the intern will be able to establish accounts, conduct system maintenance, and perform system recovery.
+ The intern will develop a good understanding of implementing maintenance and upgrade procedures to minimize disruption of normal business functions. This includes:

+ Week 3: Intro to IT Support to include planning, design, acquisition, installation and set-up, testing, accreditation, fielding, support, and disposition of IT equipment, components, and software
+ Week 4: Intro planning, scheduling, coordinating, installing, updating, and accomplishing day-today administration for software and hardware on multiple classified networks
+ Week 5: Intro managing IT network equipment to include switches, routers, and both basic and advanced configurations of firewalls
Phase 2 - Configuration & Optimization of Networks
+ Week 6-7: Configure and troubleshoot Video Teleconferencing and Voice over IP telephone systems

Minimum Qualifications

As the Conversion and Migration Specialist, you will be converting customer data from competitive databases to Reynolds databases. You will also complete migration of customer data from one Reynolds hardware platform to another. This involves maintaining a good working relationship with customers throughout the conversion or migration process to ensure quality results. You will also be supporting remote and field-based trainers and field engineers on the conversion and migration processes.
