JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary/Objectives
The IT System Administrator role supports the overall day-to-day computer operations, file server management, and user access management. This includes but not limited to assisting employees with the installation, configuration, and operation of their computer or mobile device equipment, e.g., desktop, laptop, tablet, smart phone, etc. and with integrating PC systems into local-area and wide-area networks. Additional Essential Functions
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot employee workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products.
  • Facilitate minor hardware component replacements including but not limited to laptop keyboards, screens, RAM, and hard drives
  • Provide troubleshooting for employee workstation hardware, software, telecommunications & networking equipment, escalating unresolved topics to the next level of support as necessary
  • Distribute pre-packaged software using enterprise deployment tools.
  • Plan, coordinate and process Windows 11 OS/feature updates for all company devices.
  • Facilitate local backup procedures and offsite data storage in compliance with the company's retention policies.

In this role you will serve the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence's Mission Support Division in the Information and Data Management Directorate to support requirements of the Commander and other consumers.

Serco is seeking a Principal Intelligence System Administrator to join our dynamic team supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Fort Leavenworth in Leavenworth, Kansas. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of professionals committed to enhancing military operational readiness.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and maintain all Intelligence Simulations Systems for the Fort Leavenworth Mission Training Complex (MTC-LVN).
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts of intelligence simulation systems.
  • Work independently the majority of the time with general or no direction, developing solutions and making independent decisions that avoid serious program delays or resource expenditures.
  • Maintain daily inter-organizational and outside customer contacts and represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
  • Operate and maintain the Intelligence Fusion Servers for MTC-LVN.
  • Operate the WARSIM Intelligence Module Lower and Upper Enclaves, including the Tactical Communications Support Processor and Radiant Mercury.
  • Serve as the System Administrator for various computer systems.
  • Operate the Virtual Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE) simulation systems.
  • Integrate all intelligence warfighting function simulations with the Intelligence Fusion Server, serving as the primary interface between echelon Distributed Common Ground System Army (DCGS-A) subsystems, external Intelligence Fusion Server (IFS), and other Army mission command information systems.
  • Provide expertise in the development, execution, and assessment of tailored and dynamic simulation-stimulated training scenarios and preparatory events.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of advanced technical experience in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity and/or Information Assurance (IA), or related discipline; or
  • Bachelors degree in CS, IT, Cybersecurity and/or IA, or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related advanced technical experience; or
  • Masters degree in CS, IT, Cybersecurity and/or IA, or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of related advanced technical experience.
  • Possess a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with Special Background Investigation.
  • Hold an IAT Level II Certification (such as CompTIA Security+ CE).
  • Experience as an IFS Field Software Engineer.
  • Experience as a dedicated System Administrator.
  • Must be able to travel to CONUS locations as needed (up to 25% of the time).
  • Must be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth in Leavenworth, Kansas.
