**Key responsibilities for this role include:**
Core Areas of Responsibility:
+ Lead Process Technology Development:
+ Direct and oversee process technology initiatives for Fujifilm's ultrapure solvents (UPS), focusing on advanced purification techniques such as nano-filtration and distillation. Ensure these processes are effectively documented and promoted.
+ Guide New Product Development (NPD) and Continuous Improvement (CIP):
+ Manage projects from pilot scale through to high-volume manufacturing (HVM), ensuring smooth transitions and scalability.
+ Align Raw Materials and Strategic Sourcing:
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business/sales, procurement, engineering, manufacturing, and R&D-to ensure raw materials and sourcing strategies align with PCS/SQC objectives.
+ Set Packaging Standards:
+ Establish and document specifications for next-generation product packaging, including a detailed evaluation of materials of construction and their impact on finished product quality. Provide recommendations for future needs based on data-driven analysis.
+ Coordinate with Customers and Suppliers:
+ Collaborate with strategic customers and suppliers to develop and implement mutually beneficial Process Technology roadmaps for FEUS.
+ Process Simulation and Modeling:
+ Conduct process simulation modeling prior to pilot distillation and scaling to full production. Emphasize optimizing the total cost of ownership for ultrapure solvents.
+ Contribute to the Global Process Technology team:
+ Be an integral member of the UPS Process Technology team to support the development of best-in-class product purity and quality, minimizing quality incidents while enhancing FFEM's overall value proposition.
+ Establish advanced product and process development protocols:
+ Develop and refine product and process characterization protocols that meet PCS and STC requirements for next-generation customer demands.
+ Execute design of experiments (DOE):
+ Design and conduct experiments to fully understand the effects of raw materials and process variables on finished product quality. Analyze results to refine experimental approaches and support successful product introductions.
+ Contribute to process control Technology:
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust process control technologies for measurable process and analytical chemical parameters, both in-house and at supplier locations.
+ Research and implement advanced process technologies:
+ Investigate and integrate new process technologies-such as filtration, distillation, and ion exchange and in-situ metrology to ensure Fujifilm adopts and utilizes state-of-the-art advancements.
**REQUIREMENTS**
+ The position requires a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering (an advanced degree is preferred) and at least 9 years of experience in ultrapure electronic-grade chemicals, chemical purification processes, engineering, scale-up, and production roles. Other engineering disciplines will be considered based on experience with technology development and the manufacturing of ultrapure, electronic grade chemicals.
+ Candidate must have demonstrated significant hands-on contributions to product characterization and the scale-up of new products.
+ The candidate must possess subject matter expertise in process simulation and pilot production, with a specific focus on advanced purification techniques, including distillation and filtration. Additionally, strong engineering skills are required, with a thorough understanding of Six Sigma quality principles, Design of Experiments (DOE), Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), problem-solving techniques, and statistical methods.
+ The ability to document engineering projects and experimental designs in a structured, disciplined manner is essential, as are excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
+ A strong background in project management is critical for this role, ensuring projects are executed successfully, milestones are met, and objectives are achieved.
+ The candidate must be capable of addressing complex problems with logical and effective solutions while advancing team goals.
+ The position requires a proactive and adaptable professional who can quickly learn and align with the organization's mindset and structure, all while responding to evolving customer requirements. * Develops understanding of regulations, regulatory risks, accounting, and financial industry best practices, including technology and data implications
* Experience with technology control testing including automated processing, interface inputs, reports, application security, business continuity and third parties
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with data analytic tools, data visualization, key risk indicators (KRIs), key performance indicators (KPIs), information systems / technology, and scorecards / dashboards, etc.
* Interest in working with data, interpreting results, analytic best practices and experience with data analytics tools and data visualization
* Professional certification: CISA, CPA, CIA, CISM, CISSP or other technology-focused certification
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $78,000.00 to $124,750.00 annually bonus benefits
