CLASS SUMMARY:
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Housing Authority's information technology systems, networks, software, and hardware. This role ensures IT infrastructure and data availability, reliability, and security, driving technological improvements that enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
TYPICAL CLASS ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
1. System Management and Support:
* Manage and maintain servers, networking equipment, desktops, laptops, printers, telecommunication systems, and peripheral devices.
* Ensure optimal performance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly.
2. Network and Data Security:
* Implement, manage, and monitor security protocols and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity best practices and relevant regulatory standards.
* Conduct regular risk assessments, manage incident responses, and oversee disaster recovery plans.
3. Project Management:

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably within public housing or similar governmental organizations.

**Qualifications:**
+ At least 10 years of Workday experience in a leadership role with a core foundation in HCM, Finance, Workday Studio, Workday Integration Cloud, EIBs, and other integration tools.
+ Deep knowledge of Workday architecture, configuration, customization, security, integration, reporting, and testing methodologies and tools.
+ At least 8 years of experience in Software Engineering and Systems Architecture or Technology Solution design.
+ Strong critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
+ 8+ years of experience architecting, designing, and/or delivering scalable and decoupled systems in a heavily regulated technology environment.
+ Experience in engaging, influencing, and driving initiatives by partnering with technology executives.
+ Experience mentoring software engineers or architects.
+ Experience in a regulated environment (HIPAA, PCI, Privacy, SOX etc.)
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight or more years of relevant software engineering experience
- Five or more years of experience leading a software engineering team

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
