The IT Technician will report to the Head of School/Principal/CEO and will
complete but not limited to the following duties:
Job Summary:
The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining the school's technology infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring the efficient operation of IT systems across departments. This role includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing networks, installing and configuring IT systems, and supporting end-users. The IT Technician will also play a key role in implementing IT protocols and best practices to enhance school operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide first-line technical support to teachers, staff, and students.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Act as a liaison between end users and higher-level IT support.
- Provide training and technical assistance on IT systems and networks.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including computers, printers, network cards, and other devices.
- Assist in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN configurations, and Wi-Fi networks.
- Monitor system and network performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Perform system troubleshooting, repairs, and data restoration.
- Conduct routine maintenance activities such as backups and security updates.
- Maintain software licenses and upgrade schedules as required.
- Institute protocols for the use of IT across school departments and projects.
- Provide recommendations on the most suitable IT solutions for the school's needs.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure IT standards and functionality are maintained.
- Support the organization in various capacities as needed.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place, including antivirus updates and data protection policies.
- Monitor and enforce IT security protocols to protect school data and systems.
- Support compliance with school IT policies, NJDOE fingerprinting requirements, and industry best practices.
- Assist in setting up IT equipment for school events, meetings, and presentations.
- Support the philosophy and vision of The Newgrange School.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the IT Manager or Administration.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in network management and help desk support is desired.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, applications, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware/software issues.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Pays high attention to detail and has the ability to multitask effectively.
- Education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Google IT Support) are a plus.
- NJDOE Fingerprints are required.

General IT Support:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications;

The L'Oréal USA Summer Internship Program is apaid, 11-week experiencewhere you will be fully integrated into the day-to-day activities of a team while alsoleading your own, individual strategic projectto discover what it is truly like to develop a career at L'Oreal. We are committed to giving our interns the space to explore, to have full time employee responsibilities, present their own insights to senior management, and to become future leaders. At the end of the summer, you will present your project to senior leadership for theopportunity to be considered for a full-time return offer into our Management Trainee program.

Who You Are:
- Ambitious students currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university who are expected to graduate between December 2026 - July 2027

- No prior industry experience is necessary to apply
- Minimum Requirements:
- Able to start working fulltime starting September 2027 upon graduation with your bachelor's degree in:
- Computer Science
- Data Science
- Cyber Security
- Related technology degree programs
- Legally authorized to work in the US on a fulltime, permanent, and ongoing basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Willing to relocate to any USA-based office that has a summer internship opportunity, including:
- Berkeley Heights, New Jersey

What You'll Do:
You will be placed onto an IT team within one of the IT departments such as:
- Retail IT - Responsible for all Retail experience for all brands at L'Oreal
- Digital IT - Develops the Digital presence for all our products and brands
- Enterprise Infrastructure and Architecture- All connectivity, communication and technology needed for employees to operate effectively within the company
- Cyber Security - Assess all risk in the cyber space, to keep L'Oreal and their customers as secure as possible
- Strategy and Governance - Own all the budget, strategy, project management methodology that impacts the IT organization overall
- Business Applications - All eCommerce and other applications that support the revenue streams, manufacturingand supply chain operations of the company
Use your skills to surprise and delight the end user whether you have our consumer, our retail partner, or employee as your customer
- Fully own an individual project with strategic business impact at the intersection of business and technology that you will present to senior management
- Become familiar with L'Oréal's enterprise-wide systems and provide process improvement recommendations
- Learn about how technology supports multiple functions across the organization (Digital, Supply Chain, Finance, Research & Innovation and Marketing)

The Program:
- This is a paid internship opportunity. Housing assistance is provided on an individual basis based on eligibility per our L'Oréal Relocation Policy.
- All interns will be paired with a mentor and buddy to help guide you through your internship

What's In It For You:
- Salary Range:$33.50-$35.00 per hour (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location)
