Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Job Functions
  • Point of contact for all information systems issues for practice sites, providing support for the company on the following:
    • Maintains and troubleshoots performance of all practice software including practice management systems and electronic medical records.
    • Maintains and supports performance of all practice hardware including servers, computers, copiers, scanners, and printers.

  • Supports information security awareness and training initiatives to educate workforce about policies, procedures, and risks.
  • Travel to various practice sites as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Thorough understanding of computer software and hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, network devices, and peripherals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health information systems, concepts, and procedures
  • Thorough understanding of IS principles, programs, policies, activities, and procedures.
  • Strong technical background with experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Ability to explain technical problems and offer solutions to those without technological training.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little supervision.
Credentials and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have at least 2-3 years' experience working in with medical records/health information (office, clinical, or hospital)
  • Security Certification or special training/education in information systems and software preferred.
  • MS Office Products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Fluent in English

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Software and Hardware Procurement Sourcing Representative** to join our procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of software and hardware products and services. You will work closely with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of technology resources.
This role is hybrid and will be located in one of the following Battelle offices: Chantilly, VA or Columbus, OH.
**Responsibilities**
+ Identify and evaluate potential CIT service providers and suppliers.
+ Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to secure the best terms.
+ Manage relationships with existing suppliers and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
+ Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify new sourcing opportunities.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to understand sourcing needs and requirements.
+ Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities and supplier performance.
+ Ensure timely delivery of services and resolve any issues that may arise.
**Key Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree; five years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
+ Basic working knowledge of business principles and contracting concepts, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Uniform Commercial Code, applicable international contract law, or public contract acquisition law and regulations.
+ Independently able to execute basic purchasing responsibilities and resolve problems of low to moderate complexity with suppliers and supported client staff.
+ Ability to draft simple contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines.
