The Job Overview

The Job Overview

This role is in-office, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in Costa Mesa, CA. This is mid to senior level role. We are on the lookout for highly motivated individuals with a background in EVSE/OCPP customer service, coupled with excellent communication skills. As a Technical Support representative, your primary responsibility will be to support and communicate updates with clients. Collaborating closely with sales and engineering teams, you will play a key role in tracking project completion and being the primary point of contact with our clients. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals eager to immerse themselves in the EV charging and renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate scheduling between several service providers and the internal team's shifts to ensure we have 24/7 coverage for our EVOLV Charging platform.
  • Act as the frontline support for customer inquiries providing timely and effective resolution to tickets and issues. This includes but is not limited to issues related to: Billing, account management, charging accessibility and convenience, or troubleshooting charging hardware and software.
  • Work with the engineering team to quickly understand our EV charging ecosystem, the industry protocols (OCPP, OCPI, etc.), and how everything affects the serviceability of our products.
  • Occasionally able to travel into the field to provide hands-on technical support to high-value customers to ensure lasting relationships.
  • Communicate regularly with Sales, Marketing, Engineering to maintain and understand product features/specifications, and develop quality control standards.
  • Be the go-to person for understanding the EV charging process and identifying common problems during troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to support specialists to enhance their troubleshooting skills and product knowledge.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the organization's products, services, and technical infrastructure.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ticket volume, issue categories, resolution time, customer satisfaction, and the movement in these metrics over various time-periods.
  • Analyze support data to identify trends, root causes of recurring issues or KPI deviations, areas for improvement, and make recommendations to senior management to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, providing guidance and assistance to resolve them promptly.
  • Develop and maintain team technical training plans leveraging industry knowledge and internal company resources and personnel; and support the creation and upkeep of a companywide knowledge resource on the related materials and technologies.
Requirements and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have technical/diagnostic ability along with analytical ability to diagnose problems above basics, and basic mechanical skills.
  • You have 5+ years of customer technical support experience where you solved problems that were technical.
  • You are flexible. While you have a set schedule there may be times where you need to cover for your team.
  • Your attention to detail is unmatched. You find details that are often overlooked by co-workers and can use them to solve repetitive problems.
  • You have a background in EV charging or experience at an existing organization.

Cooley is seeking an Office Technology Specialist to join the Technology Office Operations team.

Position summary : Cooley Technology embraces a culture of customer service excellence and all members of the department are expected to move this agenda forward. To that end, the Office Technology Specialist is expected to recognize that the Cooley Technology department is a service organization, first and foremost, and will be evaluated on this requirement equal in importance to the technical and operational responsibilities outlined later in this document.

Under supervision of the OTM and support to Assistant OTM's, ensure office computers, printers, scanners, telephones, and other computer or telephone-related devices are productively deployed and used. Assists service desk personnel and local OTM with troubleshooting and operational maintenance of desktop systems. Performs various technical duties, which include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position responsibilities:

  • Use ticketing system to track all customer reports of hardware, software, telephone, mobile device and peripheral problems
  • Use User Experience Monitoring application on a daily basis
  • Install and configure desktop, laptop, and telephone equipment in accordance with firm defined installation templates or guidelines
  • Assist HR and Facilities with ergonomic equipment setups
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain PC peripheral equipment such as printers, scanners and mobile devices
  • Provide on-site technical assistance, including computer setup and breakdown, office moves, troubleshooting of printer, scanner, mobile devices and other technology equipment support, as needed
  • Actively participate in pilot groups and perform quality assurance of computer system builds, program deployment and updates
  • Isolate customer problems with hardware and/or software as first-line support and escalates problem resolution to more senior specialists, as necessary
  • Enter data into and manage inventory databases to track information pertaining to hardware and software moves, adds/changes. Tracks all Change Forms relating to new hires, departures, support and name changes
  • Familiar with Cooley software applications and prepares documents, statistical charts, graphs and spreadsheets as needed. Coordinate change forms for local office regarding technology functions
  • Setup and maintenance of conference room audiovisual equipment
  • Meeting setup and support for video conferencing using web-based conferencing systems. Also, will provide on-site technical support for off-site/remote trials or conferences
  • Troubleshoot and resolve wireless connectivity for internal and external customers
  • Provide support for telephone programming and handset maintenance under direction of OTM
  • Provide back-up help desk & technical coverage, as needed
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs of hardware and software with vendors
  • All other duties as assigned or required

Skills and experience :

Required:

  • Available to work overtime, as required
  • After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
  • 2+ year's applicable and relevant technical experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems to include but not limited to Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Working knowledge of MS-Office Suite ranging from 2016 and higher

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2019
  • Basic networking architecture knowledge to include but not limited to TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
  • Prior experience working in a law firm or professional services industry
  • Experience working in a smaller setting where the technician has 'worn many technology hats'

Responsibilities :

    Responsible for providing Trapeze software direction,desktop, server and network support for client operations according to Service Level Agreements (SLA). This includes, but not limited to, desktop and server repair, network maintenance, helpdesk tickets, disaster recovery and other projects as assigned.
  • Support of analog, Digital, or VOIP telephone System, T-1, fax and DSL lines.
  • Responsible for supporting local technologies related to transit operations, such as; Mobile Data Terminals (MDT)/in vehicle tablets, andTrapezereservation software platform.
  • Manage servers at local division; domain controller, file, application and database (MS SQL SVR).
  • Meet and interact with client agencies providing reports and updates for local divisional office.

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

Summary :

The Healthcare Technology Manager will lead the Biomedical Engineering team. This role will organize the workflow to provide efficient customer service and establish performance improvement objectives. You will also serve as the main point of contact with customer stakeholders at the site regarding asset management functions.

What you will do :
  • Plan and distribute the preventative maintenance agenda for the Biomedical Technician team
  • Meet consistently with each team member in a 1:1 setting to provide coaching and guidance on best practices for their role
  • Partner with customer stakeholders to make sure Renovo's asset management strategy aligns with the business objectives of the customer site
  • Build and maintain a financial budget for asset management operations
  • Collaborate with Renovo's operational leadership teammates to establish site-level goals that are consistent with regional performance targets
  • Generate reports: performance metrics, preventative maintenance tracking, inventory, KPIs, financial data, team utilization, etc.
  • Determine and execute process improvement initiatives and cost cutting strategies
  • Partner with the site team to perform root cause analysis and create long-term solutions for any issues related to:
    • Equipment down-time
    • Parts availability
    • Shipping methods and inventory
    • Department communication
  • Ensure the Biomed Team follows all shop rules and guidelines which include utilizing the call log, filing all service reports, filing, and documenting all rental equipment, and filing all engineering work orders in the CMMS - RenovoLive
  • Attend Safety Committee and Environmental Care meetings and be prepared to present at Biomed Quarterly Review meetings. Ensure audit readiness for Joint Commission visits
  • Administrative tasks: Approve PTO, expenses, timecards, new job request forms for the TA team, internal promotions, corrective action planning (as needed), etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Education/Special Training :
  • Requires a two-year degree in Biomed or equivalent training and/or experience (e.g., military, or other related experience)
  • CBET preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in the service and maintenance of medical equipment
  • 3+ years of service management experience
  • Exceptional organizational skills required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
