With support from technical support specialists, repair technicians, network administrators and school staff, this position works to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with technology services.

Responsibilities and tasks include:
  • Provide first-level installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance on all computing devices and peripheral classroom hardware and equipment, including network connections
  • Provide first-level technical support using procedures and tools established by District-Level Technical Support;
  • Document daily activities in the work order system and escalate to second level as needed;
  • Provide training and instruction in the use of classroom, mobile, and instructional technologies;
  • Provide inventory of hardware and software as requested; and,
  • Perform other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Communicates effectively and confidently, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency to troubleshoot hardware, software and explain current technology to end-users
  • Ability to use a variety of operating systems, including Windows, ChromeOS, and iOS.

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

+ Must be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking aptitude, and experience with data modeling and/or process mapping.
+ Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.

Maintain and manage all technology equipment as needed to ensure that it is functioning properly, including, but not limited to: computers, printers, cameras, LCD projectors, scanners, interactive whiteboards and slates, student response devices, iOS devices (iPads, iPods, etc.), televisions and monitors, video equipment (mobile/fixed). Communicate daily with building leadership to coordinate work direction and technology needs. Communicate as needed with district technology personnel to coordinate work direction, repair needs, and assistance. Maintain excellent customer service and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with employees at all levels in the building and district office. Update and install software as determined by district technology personnel. Ensure that the daily video announcements are up-to-date and are being broadcast throughout the building. Attend all district technology paraeducator meetings and trainings scheduled during the duty day. Maintain an inventory of hardware and an inventory and licensing documentation of software. Prepare computers for state and district online tests. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be physically working in the building. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with employees at all levels in the building and district office. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Preferred Qualifications: Two years of successful technology experience with hardware & software - either on-the-job training, technical school or college course work desired.

Rate of Pay:
$20.00/hour to $5.30/hour DOQ with K-12 experience
21.15/hour to 26.45/hour with AA/AAS degree or 60 semester/90 quarter credits from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K-12 experience
22.00/hour to 27.30/hour with BA degree from a regionally accredited institution, DOQ with K-12 experience

The Polaris D&IT Infrastructure and Information Security Internship is a tailored 12-week paid summer internship designed for emerging juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in a leading global powersports industry.

As an Infrastructure & Information Security Intern, you will explore the foundational technologies and security measures that support and protect an organization's digital operations. This track offers a broad exposure to critical IT systems and security practices.

You may interact with:
Infrastructure User Support
You will engage with frontline IT support roles that ensure smooth day-to-day operations:
• L1 Service Desk: Handle initial user issues and service requests.
• L2 Client Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support.

  • Networking - intentional time with peers and leaders at Polaris to build your professional network.
  • Intern Innovation Challenge: internal case study designed to promote cross functional development where you and your team will present creative and practical solutions to a real 'Polaris' problem to our executive leadership.
  • Early Talent Summit Week : participate in our 3-day event in our Wyoming, MN office. This immersive experience brings together all US interns and DPs for professional development, structured networking, a DP graduation event, inspiring executive speakers, and a thrilling team ride on some of your favorite Polaris vehicles.
  • Community Engagement : opportunity to get involved in your local community.
  • Final Presentations : present to our senior level leaders to showcase your career aspirations and recap your internship experience.
The Selection Process:

Applications are open from August -November each year. Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted candidates will typically be contacted for an initial phone screen by the end of November. Candidates selected to move forward will be invited to participate in a virtual panel interview with an identified HR business partner and functional leader. Successful candidates would move forward to an offer. You will partner with the Early Talent team in January to complete a survey that provides a deeper look at your specific interests, strengths & career goals. All specific internship assignments are communicated in February , after aligning based on your specific interests and business demand.

Intern Relocation Assistance:

Polaris offers a relocation program for interns who qualify through our mobility vendor. To qualify for these services your home address must be 35 miles or more from the office where you will be working. Benefits include a lump sum (grossed up to offset tax liability), access to a relocation counselor to explain the resources available to you and aid securing short-term housing available to you. Your responsibilities will include daily transportation to and from the office.

Required Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's/master's degree in a related field with an intended graduation date between August 2026-May 2028.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Must be able to commit to a full 12-week internship, working 40 hours per week, within one of the following date ranges:
  • May 18th - August 7th, 2026.
  • June 1st - August 21st, 2026.
  • Willing and able to relocate.
