OVERVIEW:
The Information Technology Specialist is a full-time position (37.50 hours per week) responsible for maintaining and supporting the agency's computer and networking systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff (remote and on-site)
- Manage and maintain hardware, software, and cloud-based applications
- Monitor network and system performance, resolving issues promptly
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols and ensure data protection compliance
- Maintain inventory and documentation of IT assets
- Support virtual meetings, webinars, and digital events
- Coordinate with external IT vendors as needed
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding staff regarding IT access and tools
- Evaluate and recommend software and technology solutions that align with organizational goals
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
EMPLOYMENT GUIDELINES:
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. Must have access to a vehicle and possess a valid Driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier. In addition, must have the following automobile insurance: Bodily Injury $100,000 per person/$00,000 per accident and 50,000 Property Damage per accident.

Provides second and third level technical response to maintenance, urgent and emergency technical and application problems at on- and off-site locations.

Leads complex technical projects and strategies.

Researches, prepares specifications, and/or data and makes recommendations.

Leads and reviews the work of lower-level technicians.

Uses skills to assist in resolution of complex technical problems.

Researches and develops solutions to new or unknown issues.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience required

Associate's degree in related field preferred
