• Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation as required.
• Interface with local customers and provide IT related support to quickly resolve problems.
• Perform periodic maintenance, hardware upgrades and replacement, firmware updates and system configuration changes. Perform scheduled tape backups on systems as required.
• Manage data backup library to include storage of tapes, disks and other magnetic media at the customer’s location and off-site storage facilities as required.
• Attend planning and requirements meetings with IT staff, Program Managers and customers as required.
   

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area or 4 additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

What You Will Do :

• Experienced Windows System Administrator that will be working in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi-disciplined environment. The System Administrator must possess a secret security clearance as they will be responsible for administering systems that contain classified data.
• Experience provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows infrastructure for classified programs.
• Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support.
• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment.
• Experience with Windows Server internals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Experience of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3years experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, BackupExec, NetBackup, prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.

• Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
• Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Windows desktops (Windows 10, 11), Splunk and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
• Scripting - PowerShell, Bash.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
• Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.
• Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
• Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
