Description
Performs as a technical leader of application system development, network infrastructure or enhancement projects and/or multiple application support teams, which may include various Metro Information Technology personnel, technical contractors, consultants or other internal or external entities.
This position designs and supports integrations between various Information Technology (IT) platforms and enterprise architecture. Researches, identifies, and refers complex technical problems related to platform management, database administration, enterprise network connectivity and endpoints support to the appropriate Information and Technology Services (ITS) operating unit for resolution.

- Leads system development life cycle or network infrastructure life cycle
- Defines, implements, documents and performs tests on security controls in complex applications and infrastructure environments

- Researches, identifies, and refers complex technical problems related to platform management, database administration, network connectivity and desktop support to the appropriate ITS operating unit for resolution
- Leads the preparation of project reports such as technical overviews, client recommendations, alternatives to business requirements, feasibility studies, project proposals, and requests for proposals for the purchase of new software and hardware
- Participates in the evaluation, configuration, implementation, and integration of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software
- Develops software and hardware specifications and standards
- Leads the department's information security, disaster recovery, and safety programs

Minimum Qualifications

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Information System Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's Degree in a related field preferred
- Six years of relevant experience or three years of relevant supervisory-level experience in designing, implementing and maintaining an enterprise-wide system
- Certification in Microsoft/Azure, Oracle, Amazon AWS and SalesForce preferred

Summary:

The IT Application Coordinator – ERP- EAM is responsible for overseeing the implementation, administration, support, and optimization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and enterprise asset management (EAM) systems under the guidance of the Executive Director and Vice President for Information Technology to ensure the successful achievement of project goals and objectives within the designated time frame and budget constraints. This role involves performing the following duties personally or through collaboration with others.
Responsibilities- Act as the primary administrator for ERP and EAM applications, ensuring system availability, performance, and security.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions while ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working with vendors and internal IT teams as needed.
- Maintain system configurations, workflows, and integrations to align with business processes.
- Lead or assist in system upgrades, enhancements, and new module implementations.
- Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and recommend system improvements or automation opportunities.
- Conduct system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for upgrades and new functionalities.
- Ensure proper documentation of system configurations, customizations, and workflows.
- Work closely with software vendors for system support, licensing, and enhancements.
- Partner with IT and business leaders to align ERP and EAM strategies with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal users on project scope and planning schedules that impact their areas of responsibility
- Participate in cross-functional projects that require ERP and EAM expertise.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information technology, business management, or a related field required. Five years of overall IT experience and proficiency in cloud technology, including cloud-based ERP and EAM solutions, SaaS applications, and cloud integrations preferred.
Salary Range: $84,849 - $117,144 (Depending on Qualifications)
Compensation packages are determined based on a variety of factors specific to each candidate, including geographic location, skillset, the mix of relevant education, certifications, experience level, and performance. At Long Beach Transit, compensation decisions are made considering the unique requirements and circumstances of each position.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly technical Manager of Information Technology (IT) to lead and support all aspects of our IT operations in a fast-paced telecommunications environment. This individual will oversee internal IT support (Helpdesk), corporate infrastructure (on-prem and cloud), endpoint management, network security, and ensure high system availability and performance across a globally distributed workforce.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep technical knowledge and the ability to manage complex IT systems, vendors, and a team of technical support professionals.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Helpdesk Leadership

Lead the internal IT Helpdesk team, ensuring timely support for hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues across the organization.

Manage service level agreements (SLAs), incident response, and escalations.

Implement and continuously optimize ITIL-based processes (incident, change, asset, and configuration management).
Infrastructure & Systems Management

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure, including:

Servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)

Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, Office 365/Azure AD
