Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the organizations evolving information security operations. This role is ideal for someone ready to step into a strategic and technical position with strong executive visibility. The SME will report to senior leadership, have no direct reports, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure enterprise-wide security readiness.

• Act as the lead security expert across operations, threat response, and infrastructure security
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, and executive leadership to align security practices with business goals
• Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance, including PCI requirements
• Recommend and help implement security tools and process enhancements
• Deliver regular updates and insights to the CIO and Chief Legal Officer

• Bachelors degree in cybersecurity or computer science preferred
• 3+ years of progressive experience in information security
• Deep knowledge of enterprise risk management, threat detection, and incident response
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Holds 3+ security certifications (active)
• Strong desire to move up into team management/leadership

• Background in highly regulated industries or financial services
• Experience with cloud security and endpoint protection strategies
• Prior involvement in developing or influencing enterprise security policies

Digital & Technology Internship Program - Summer 2026

Program Details:

• Duration : 10 weeks

What You'll Do:

This program is comprised of 5 unique internship "tech tracks", which selected interns will be assigned to. Please read each description carefully to decide which one is the best fit for you and your career interests.

Candidates can only be considered for 1 tech track, so please select carefully.

1. Software Engineering : Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, maintain, test, and improve internal and/or client software applications; Write well-designed, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards.

2. Data Science : Collaborate with data scientists to provide a quantitative foundation for model development via comprehensive data analysis.

3. Product Management : Collaborate with global product, engineering, and divisional technology teams to ensure new products and services are developed and delivered, according to Agile methodologies, timely and on-budget.

4. UX Design & Research : Partner with UX team to conduct user research and implement design-related solutions, based on user needs & insights.

5. Cybersecurity : Partner with cybersecurity engineers to ensure security and data privacy at a large, global corporation.

What You'll Need:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, with a technology focus, from an accredited university

• Graduating in December 2026 or May 2027

• Able and willing to report to our Richardson, Texas office in-person for the full duration of the 10-week program

• Proven passion for technology - including but not limited to the following key areas of focus: data science, data analytics, UX, software engineering, cybersecurity, data engineering, etc.

• Prior professional experience, such as internships and tutoring

• Ability to demonstrate basic technical skills

• Highly involved at your current university (student organizations, clubs, projects, hackathons, etc.)

• Involvement in the community (such as volunteering) preferred

• Prior leadership experience preferred
