**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly qualified Transportation Program Manager with a transportation/infrastructure background to support our growing Midwestern operations. The ideal candidate is a Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois (or eligible for licensure through reciprocity) with a strong background in civil or structural engineering and the ability to lead complex transportation programs in collaboration with state and local agencies. **This position is based in the greater Chicago, Illinois area, and candidates must be willing to relocate to the region if they are not currently local.**
With high-level goals established, the Transportation Program Manager provides leadership and technical oversight for complex transportation and infrastructure programs from planning through design, construction, and project closeout. **Our Program:**
This position is an excellent opportunity for candidates who want to gain valuable experience to launch their career with Penske. It is ideal for junior to mid-level non-commissioned officers, and junior officers. Our dedicated training program will prepare you to oversee logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control. Hands-on experience will help you learn to effectively manage driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, cross docking and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. You will also have support from our Veteran Business Resource Group, including mentorship and resources. Upon graduation from the program, you'll be prepared to lead a small group of hourly associates in a dedicated contract carriage operation.
- Ensure that all associates are motivated, engaged, trained and competent and understand how their work relates to the customers' business objectives.
- Foster a safe work environment by complying with and administering established safety and operational procedures.
- Understand the location-specific customer goals & objectives and work to meet and exceed these expectations daily.
- Effectively resolve issues and monitor day-to-day operations for compliance using organizational and time management skills.
- Learn the Kaizen methodology and implement Lean processes.
- Evaluate and recommend changes in preferred work methods to increase productivity of dispatch operations.
- Properly plan work assignments to ensure effective use of fleet/ equipment.
**Qualifications:**
- Honorable discharge from the military in the last 1-3 years
- Bachelor's Degree preferred - In Business, Supply Chain, Data Science/Analytics or related field is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership through school, your community, clubs/organizations, or the military

- Internship or related work experience in a customer-facing role preferred.

Job Description
Safety-Kleen in **Dolomite, AL** is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee (Driver Class B Trainee). This role will train to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services in a defined route. Safety-Kleen will pay for you to obtain your CDL.

+ Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions at customer locations
+ Completes all required documentation and labeling
+ Generates / collects leads from customers for new products and services
+ Sells additional products and services into existing accounts
+ Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
+ Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
+ Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
+ Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
+ Perform other duties as assigned
+ Obtain a CDL B within 180 days of employment (company paid)
+ Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 30 days of CDL B
+ Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
+ Basic computer and math skills
+ Good written and verbal communication skills
+ Problem solving skills
+ Perform physical functions per job requirements
+ Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Strong customer service skills
+ Commercial route driving experience (Class C or non-CDL)
