The Transport Coordinator will assist and work closely with the Yard Manager to maintain the yard, to strive towards operational efficiencies of the facility, and to promote Environmental, Health & Safety for RB Global's employees and customers. You'll also assist the Yard Team with yard and equipment preparation, in addition to interacting regularly with customers and other sale site staff.
Responsibilities
- Transport duties include obtaining quotes and coordinating transport of appraisal equipment and Ritchie Bros. purchased equipment to the Moerdijk facility; and assisting non-EU consignors to organize transport of their equipment from ports to Moerdijk.
- Assist the Yard Manager in facility and asset management, auction operations duties and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) compliance.
- Facility & asset management: waste management; yard / building / auction security; maintenance of all yard vehicles and equipment; facility maintenance and compliance; utilities tracking; and preparing Purchase Orders.
- EH&S: contractor compliance; yard spillage prevention plan; safety meetings; and Intelex compliance.
- Auction operations: stationary and rolling stock set-up; fuelling; refurbishing services; contractor / operator / part-time yard staff management; facility preparation for each sale; and assisting with pre-set consignor budgets and cost sheets for post-auction settlements.
