Job Description
The Director of Supply Chain & Operations for Cardinal Health's Global Kitting business, Presource® Solutions, will be responsible for Supply Chain transformation to an optimal organizational design aligned to the business structure, leading changes in workflow, best practices, and maximizing the effectiveness of our technology strategy for warehouse, demand and logistics operations. The Director will own and drive critical cross-functional relationships and decision-making with Sourcing, Technology, Engineering, Operations, Global Planning, Distribution Logistics, Global Transportation COE, and Finance. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing network optimization, product flow improvements, and reducing end-to-end lead time. This will include analytics maturity, technology roadmap maturity, and business process improvements across the Global Kitting supply chain. Direct customer engagement and strategic work with the US Regional Medical Sales team is a critical element of this role, communicating resiliency strategies, process improvement, and the adoption of best-in-class processes to grow and mature our Presource® Solutions chain model.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and develop an organization of approximately 380 employees across 2 facilities in El Paso, TX and the cross-dock in Fort Mill, SC; raw material planning / procurement; seven-site 3rd party sterilization network; and supporting logistics teams.
+ Responsible for organizing and optimizing network performance between Manufacturing, Global Trade, Cross-docks, Sterilization, and Distribution Centers.
+ Measure and drive performance improvements across lead time, cost, service, and quality by reducing scrap, deviations, in-transit damages, and re-boxing. Optimize and control processes and systems for yard management, sterilization appointments, and lane optimization.
+ Develop and retain top talent, including training and development in lean six-sigma principles and operational excellence for supply chain.
+ Lead coordination and priorities with Global Trade, Transportation, Sourcing, and Sterilization
+ Lead the development and implementation of standard work and process improvement across the network, supporting the Presource® Solutions business.
+ P&L ownership. Prepares and submits various daily, weekly & quarterly reports.
+ Ensures that the corporation's Core Values are consistently promoted and practiced.
+ Develops and manages a high-performing team of procurement sourcing professionals and inventory management.
+ Demonstrates cross functional leadership to manage senior business stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment and builds relationships that facilitate realization of business value
+ Enables downstream supplier management through a robust category strategy and aligned contractual structures. Collaborates on critical supplier oversight, securing compliance for contracted terms and relevant socially responsible regulations and policies. Partners with suppliers to drive optimization of supplier performance and harness supplier innovation.
+ Sets & leads aggressive continuous improvement goals; identifies and leads initiatives in partnership with stakeholders to explore a broad set of value levers to deliver on targets
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred
+ Deep understanding of supply chain operations, end-to-end procurement process; demonstrated success in leading transformations and teams within a regulated environment
+ Strong global leadership and influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and peers that inspire trust, collaboration, and operational excellence
+ Experience and/or knowledge in Ethylene Oxide (ETO) Sterilization strongly preferred
+ Strong analytical acumen and experience influencing senior leaders based on deep supply chain knowledge
+ Experience building a new set of capabilities within an organization, passionate about contributing to best-in-class procurement. Experience implementing transformation, new teams, and new organizational design
+ Ability to effectively lead through change and ambiguity.
+ Black Belt or similar Six Sigma certification with demonstrated supply chain results
+ Strong project management skills with ability to plan tasks, assign and manage resources, remove barriers, manage change, resolve conflict, build consensus, and motivate team members across multiple projects concurrently
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to the given audience and influence outcomes. Can present information in a clear and concise manner
+ Ability to prioritize, organize and multitask in a flexible, fast-paced, and challenging environment
+ Bi-lingual, English & Spanish highly preferred
**Anticipated salary range:** $125,000 - $190,000
