**Job Summary:**
Reporting to the Manager of Transportation, the Transportation Specialist is responsible for supporting all of the commercial shipping needs of the retail and rental organization, including but not limited to domestic and international freight routing, monitoring small parcel deliveries, filing claims, assisting with customs documentations and audits, and monitoring stores' seasonal shipping status. This position will work closely with many cross-functional teams, such as all retail warehouses, VRR merchants, accounts payable, international customs, external vendors, and third-party carriers. This position will support the prioritization of shipping retail and rental products in the most cost-effective manner while ensuring shipments arrive at their final destination on time, complete, and with clear and consistent communication to all teams.

**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Point of contact relates to all commercial transportation needs with our DCs, merchants, vendor community, and store operations.
+ Manage Freight Pay both in US Bank portal and through uploader process with accounts payable to ensure proper allocation of accounting strings. Invoice amount is within expectations, and only VRR shipments are utilized on VRR shipper accounts.
+ Review invoices and US Bank reports for any vendor compliance issues and report those issues into Traverse.
+ Provide weekly reporting and analysis of week's spend to leadership.
+ Maintain and track spending on transportation projects.
+ Coordination of rental bike off-season movement and storage.
+ Coordination of winter retirement to retail DCs and Urban resorts.
+ Coordination of any seasonal or one-off shipments.
+ Submit and follow up on all freight and small parcel claims.
+ Run reports for all inbound shipments and follow up on any potential issues or delays with the carrier.
+ Maintain shipping status for stores during seasonal and inventory closures.
+ Audit all customs documentation to ensure accurate information and vendor compliance.
+ Monitor and submit invoices to AP for customs shipments and monthly CBSA payment for on time payment and to ensure no service disruption.
+ Assist with any VRR international shipments, including but not limited to routing shipments, answering questions about completing customs documents, approving clearance under VRR, and any other questions pertaining to customs.
+ Assist with completing customs documentation on behalf of either internal DCs or external vendors.
+ Identify Importer of Record on international shipments.
+ Maintain a general understanding of US and Canada trade regulations/programs by attending monthly webinars.
+ Attending carrier performance review meetings as required.

+ Track and analyze outbound/inbound shipments by lane identifying under filled trucks and/or trucks reaching maximum pound capacity for proactive solutions to improve cost, profitability, and carrier service.
+ Review all freight and fuel bills, create freight POs, and reconcile freight invoices, making sure rates are correct and approve for payment.
+ Communicate with and schedule drivers for delivery of goods to customers out of the Arlington Heights, IL facility.
+ Coordinate and facilitate freight for customer returns or other requests as needed.
+ Tend to and resolve daily issues around tendered loads with carriers as they arise and ensure to communicate feedback to the proper business partner. For example, communicating routing issues to routing, loading issues to night warehouse, customer issues to sales, etc.
+ File and track all managed carrier freight claims with Transportation Company and work with carriers on timely resolution. This encompasses freight claims for both inbound and outbound tendered loads.

**What you'll do:**
The SCM within Eaton's growing Aerospace Interconnect division is responsible for managing key Supply Chain related functions such as materials planning, scheduling and ordering activities associated with the delivery of specific customer products, direct and indirect material purchasing, inventory control and warehousing, shipping and receiving.
