**SUMMARY**
Responsible for managing all RDC yard activities and the personnel involved in those activities, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in resolving system or operational issues which may affect inbound or outbound performance.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include but are not limited to the following:
+ Assist in resolving any system issues which may arise in daily load processing.
+ Monitor carrier and system status messages and mitigate any expected inbound and/or outbound delivery impacts.
+ Communicate daily with Director of Transportation, Claims Coordinator, and Transportation Supervisors, Transportation Leads, and Transportation Operations Associates (TOAs) concerning shipping activities.
+ Communicate daily with warehouse operations teams and RDC carriers to facilitate efficient production levels and yard operations.
+ Oversee, hire, train, develop, evaluate and maintain discipline of Transportation Supervisors, Transportation Leads, and TOAs.
+ Coordinate personnel coverage to insure required transportation functions are completed, and provide adequate support to TOA positions and yard activities.
+ Manage yard service (yard jockey) operations to maintain adequate service levels to support RDC warehouse operations.
+ Oversee yard processes to insure accuracy of trailer locations, temperature settings, refrigerated trailer performance, and safety for all associates and contractors involved in yard operations.
+ Have knowledge of and effectively administer all company policies and procedures, including training, disciplining and termination of associates.
+ Maintain accurate filing system.
+ Back up the TOAs, Transportation Leads, and Transportation Supervisors in their absence in all of their duties and responsibilities.
+ Understand and comply with all applicable company policies (i.e. attendance, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Associate Handbook, etc.).
+ Accept additional responsibilities or special projects as requested. Other duties may be assigned. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Provide direction and leadership up to nine persons in the Transportation Department including supervisors, a lead, and transportation ops associates in the completion of assigned activities and responsibilities.
+ Responsible for associate performance evaluations of direct reports on an annual basis for the purpose of communicating and properly documenting expectations and evaluations to the staff.
+ Provide ongoing feedback on the performance of subordinates and the department by monitoring activities and reports. Provide ongoing communications of any issues and status to transportation management.
+ Determine and provide training and development of staff members as needed.
+ Assist in personnel recruitment to fulfill departmental staffing requirements. **QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

+ Basic knowledge of transportation modes and the rules and regulations governing interstate commerce and changes in regulations as they apply is preferred.
+ Good knowledge of logistics/transportation operations and available transportation services for the area and industry.
+ Basic computer knowledge.

+ Must be articulate and effective with written and verbal communication with individuals of broadly varying backgrounds and educational levels. Must have clear, concise written and oral communication skills.
+ Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must have ability to effectively present information to a large audience and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, contractors, and customers.
**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**
+ Must have ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, distance and volume.

+ Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. **Position Summary:**

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Supply Chain Technician is responsible for receiving, keying, and promptly distributing all supplies within the facility, as well as reviewing and maintaining all Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock as well as all other stocking locations.   • Minimum of 4-7 years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on roadway design, traffic engineering, or bridge design.
  • Proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
  • Strong understanding of TxDOT standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
