Assist with daily operation of transportation office and provide time management services to department
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft word and excel
- Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases
- Experience preferably in public education transportation preferred
- Prepare detailed reconciliation reports.
- Compile pertinent data to prepare various required state and local reports.
- Maintains physical and computerized departmental files on transportation employee time management
- Answer incoming calls and handle questions and requests that fall within level of responsibility
- Process the time swipe data for it's completeness in the employee TEAMS time management report
- Coordinate the merging of time swipes for all job functions with each department supervisor for accuracy
- Point person for all swipe discrepancies announced by department employees for quick resolution
- Department liaison between Transportation and Payroll
- Provide required training for all department time approvers as needed
- Meet flexible deadlines
- Maintain effective rapport with general public and handle any problems or concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Make sound recommendations to the Transportation Administrators as it pertains to reducing overtime

Assist in the acquisition of parts, supplies, and maintaining inventory of parts for repairing vehicles. Assist dispatching (and Field trip Coordinator) with assigning vehicles. Assist in the fueling, lubricating, cleaning, and minor maintenance and repair of buses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:

- Valid Texas Commercial Drivers License or the ability to obtain (Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsement)

Responsible for completing tasks associated with inventory control such as scanning products, picking orders, restocking par carts, inventory locations, and point of use systems.
Responsibilities:

Utilize scanning technology for par locations.
Cycle counting and physical inventory counting as directed.
