**Position Summary:**
Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities including driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, cross docking and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. Supervises most processes directly including workforce and equipment scheduling. Responsible for making corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level. POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the assigned Program Manager, the Transportation Worker provides transportation for our clients in whatever capacity is necessary. Shifts assigned may vary and change according to Agency needs.

+ Manage and develop transportation team, conduct timely performance reviews, manage performance issues and lead regularly scheduled team meetings.
+ Manage and coordinate overall transportation activities.
+ Manage fleet and equipment repair and regular maintenance through the service provider. Ensure equipment availability or source rental equipment.
+ Execute administrative duties, including but not limited to payroll, PUC reporting and fuel usage tracking.
+ Coordinate Driver schedules, routes, drive time and down time.
+ Actively work towards improving productivity and efficiency.
+ Ensure all deliveries are made according to Standard Operating Procedures.
+ Ensure transportation operations are in compliance with all lawful and company safety requirements/policies.
+ Confirm Drivers are in accordance with Department of Transportation "DOT" regulations (Drug and Alcohol Policy, hours of service, etc)
+ Interact with and assist other departments to accomplish efficient and timely delivery.
+ Facilitate quarterly safety training for all transportation team members.
+ Investigate damages, accidents and other transportation related issues.
+ Maintain accurate and complete departmental records.
+ Other duties as assigned.

**_Critical Ingredients:_**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ College education or business management development preferred.
+ Valid CMV and Class A CDL certifications preferred.
+ Acceptable MVR required (if hold CMV and Class A CDL).
+ Working knowledge of onboard computer systems.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSR/DOT regulations and OSHA rules.
+ Ability to develop and execute budgetary items for department.
+ Minimum five (5) years progressive management experience required, preferably in transportation.
+ General accounting and/or payroll experience required.
+ Ability to effectively communicate and give direction verbally and in writing in English required.
+ Routing experience required.
+ Basic skill with Windows based computer systems required.
+ Knowledge of on-board tracking systems preferred.
**Side Items:**
Must be able to be on call as needed.
