**Position Summary:**
Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities including driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, cross docking and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. Supervises most processes directly including workforce and equipment scheduling. Responsible for making corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level. POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the assigned Program Manager, the Transportation Worker provides transportation for our clients in whatever capacity is necessary. Shifts assigned may vary and change according to Agency needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure the health and safety of the people we serve at all times.
2. Transport the people we serve to and from the Empowered Center and to various locations throughout the community.
3. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of related services, incidents, transportation logs and accidents.
4. Maintain a safe sanitary working environment for the people we serve and fellow staff.
5. Assist all of the people we serve to achieve greater independence using person-centered thinking and principles of self-determination.
6. Inform and assist Branch Manager in the continuous quality improvement of the services you we provide, the building we work in and the vehicles and equipment we use.
7. Perform any other duties related to Empowered Services as may be assigned by the Branch Manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be 21 years of age
2. High school diploma or GED
3. Criminal Background Check
4. Drug Screen and Physical
5. Certification in CPR and First Aid.
6. Drivers License and Bureau of Motor Vehicle Driver History Review

What you will do

The Transportation Lead is responsible for overseeing transportation services, including freight management, strategic transportation analysis, compliance, claims, freight payment, import/export services, and deviations. Facilitate the expedited freight approval process and track spend. Partner with manufacturing, distribution, and planning colleagues to streamline flow and minimize costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise transportation analysts, with responsibility for goal setting, development, and performance management.

• Evaluate and propose automation solutions that maximize resource effectiveness, decrease cycle times, and minimize transactional defects.

• Support transformation projects by helping to define business process requirements with business partners to improve the customer experience and attain capabilities goals.

• Analyze strategic transportation supply chain requirements and develop creative solutions.

• Primary point of contact for sites and logistics providers to communicate issues affecting shipment flows, including but not limited to missing documentation, freight delays, quality events and shipping receiving delays.

• Collaborate with internal & external business partners, including Sourcing, Planning, Manufacturing, and Carriers to deliver results across critical metrics owned by Transportation such as on-time delivery, cost improvement programs, freight spend performance vs. budget, security infraction rates, and quality deliverables.

• Lead operational activities to support carrier bids for various domestic and inter-region transport moves; including requirements, baseline validation and lane implementation to pre-established metrics.

• Lead/participate in operational vendor management meetings (business reviews, reporting on operational vendor performance) and lead day to day tactical relationship with the vendors

• Utilize data to develop analyses that uncover insights and opportunities; provide input and analyze strategic transportation supply chain requirements. Lead process improvement projects leveraging PM methodologies like Six Sigma, FPX, etc., to drive reliability and or cost efficiencies.

• Oversee specified transportation services, including freight management, strategic transportation analysis, compliance, claims, freight payment, import/export services, and deviations.

• Additional responsibilities include coordination, track & trace/exception management for assigned transportation lanes, and ad-hoc operational analytics to drive day to day business efficiencies

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree required

• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience required

• Experience in logistics, customer service, transportation, distribution, operations, supply chain, and/or information technology

• Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency, including lookup & reference functions, conditional statements, pivots, and macros

• Requires data analytics experience to successfully organize, analyze, and interpret data to identify opportunities and influence business operations

• Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully and work independently while demonstrating initiative

• Ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple priorities

• Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to embrace learning

• Ability to work in a matrix environment and work with different cultures

• Need to be comfortable challenging the status quo and navigate between different hierarchical levels while maintaining collaboration and inclusion

Preferred Competencies:

• People leadership experience preferred

• Demonstrated business results in optimizing business processes, using various Data & Analytics tools

• Experience or thorough working knowledge desired with SAP, BW, Tableau, or Power BI; Alteryx, Qlik, or other data software is a plus

• Experience and depth of understanding with Transportation Management Systems (e.g., Blue Yonder, Oracle) or other supply chain systems such as ERP's (e.g., SAP). Previous TMS implementation experience a plus.

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to succeed with internal and external business partners

• Project management experience and tools

• Six Sigma/Process Excellence Tools, Training or certification

• APICS Certification

• Need to be comfortable challenging the status quo and navigate between different hierarchical levels while maintaining collaboration and inclusion

What's in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$110,500.00 - $156,000.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
