• Completes daily residential routes to collect clothing, small furniture, and other household items from donors, donation boxes, and designated sites.
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Safely navigates and operates a 24/26-foot box truck through residential streets and confined spaces.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to both customers and donors.
• Maintains communication with the supervisor to accommodate changes in donor requests.
• Upholds a courteous, respectful, and friendly demeanor when interacting with the public.
• Collaborates with the Driver Helper to safely load and unload materials from vehicles, pallets, carts, racks, shelves, etc.
• Transports materials to and from storage or work sites using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other lifting devices, with assistance when needed.
• Efficiently sorts, stacks, and processes incoming donations by category (e.g., clothing, miscellaneous items, electrical) in a safe and organized manner, following company standards during unloading.
• Safely operates compactors and large trash receptacles when required.
• Adheres to all safety protocols by properly wearing and maintaining Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have strong navigation skills.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including days from Monday through Sunday, while adhering to DOT regulated driving hours.
• Should be adaptable with daily schedules to ensure all donor and box routes are completed as planned.
• Successful completion of background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Frequently - Carrying up to 70 lbs., pushing and pulling up to 70 lbs., lifting up to 70 lbs., balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, handling and smelling.

• Frequently - Twisting, turning, and bending to inspect the vehicle, secure cargo, or handle emergencies.
• Continuously - Sitting for extended periods while maintaining focus during long-haul driving.
• Continuously - Extended periods of sitting, possibly in a confined space, with limited movement. Ability to manage fatigue and maintain alertness over long shifts.

• Mostly regular hours, occasionally working weekends, evenings and holiday hours as needed.

Here at Honda, we pride ourselves in the invaluable experience we provide our Co-ops and Interns with. Honda Co-ops/ Interns are tasked with hands on, project based worked relevant to their department of placements current needs (this means no coffee runs or stereotypical intern duties). Projects may be as large as developing a new test, designing systems, traveling to suppliers or serving as a project manager! In addition to the full-time associate work that our Co-ops/ Interns are given the access to work on, Honda Co-ops/ Interns are invited to participate in a variety of paid work events and experiences offered by the Honda Co-op and Internship program team. What you need to be successful in this role

Required:

Paid overtime: Co-ops and Interns will receive 1.5 times their hourly rate of pay for any overtime worked.

Hourly Wage Rage: $23.35-$30.21

Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to, geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
