We are currently seeking Professional tutors in a variety of disciplines. The most urgent need is for professional tutors with SPSS research statistics proficiency and ESL certified tutors.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
- Experience working with students who have learning disabilities/challenges, and/or English as a second language is preferred.
- Proficient with technology such as webcams, Zoom, email, Google Suite required.
- Positive and encouraging attitude towards co-workers and students required.
- Must be dependable and provide your own transportation. This is an on ground position that also allows for occasional virtual sessions, based on student need.
- Professional behavior and appearance. Dress is business casual.
- Ability to maintain student confidentiality is required.
- Ability to respect boundaries and demonstrate cultural sensitivity and awareness.
Responsibilities:
- Provides 0-19 hours of individual and small group tutoring to students, in person or on Zoom, based on student need.
- Tutors set their own schedule of availability at the start of each semester. Should a tutor have a temporary or permanent availability change, they must report it to their supervisor with at least one week notice, an exception is illness or other unforeseen circumstances that would not permit for advance notice of an absence.
- Occasionally tutors may be asked to facilitate structured study halls or present on effective study strategies.
- Completes mandatory training and continuing education opportunities throughout the year.
- Must utilize the ADP payroll system to accurately track time worked. Errors should be reported via note in ADP or email to supervisor.
- Must check Brenau email daily and read the Brenau Update to stay informed of campus events, activities, and trainings.
- Works closely with their supervisor to maintain scheduling accuracy and report student attendance via provided online forms.

Physical Demands and Aptitudes:
Able to lift 5 pounds and independently navigate campus.
Work Hours:
Works 0-19 hours as needed to support student need. Schedule is based on tutor availability. Tutoring is only offered when classes are in session.

This position is an on-ground position in Gainesville, GA.
Licensure Requirements:

What You’ll Do
NPFE seeks tutors to provide individualized intervention to small groups of students in a targeted effort to increase student achievement. Tutors will deliver reading instruction and implement our tutoring curriculum. The tutor must be able to lesson plan, manage a classroom, and deliver instruction. S/he must also be able to monitor data from assessments and create reports.
