We are looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to join our team in Hollywood, California, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will design intuitive and visually compelling user experiences for dashboards, applications, and AI-driven tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform complex workflows into user-friendly designs that align with business goals and enhance user engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to identify user needs and areas for improvement.
- Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma or Adobe XD while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Develop and maintain organized content structures and navigation flows to optimize user journeys across web and mobile platforms.
- Work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design solutions into applications.
- Create and document scalable design systems, including reusable components, patterns, and style guides.
- Conduct usability testing and analyze metrics to refine designs based on user feedback and performance data.
- Ensure all designs comply with accessibility standards and security/privacy requirements.
- Collaborate on data visualization projects, utilizing tools like Tableau or Looker to deliver effective visual insights.
- Advocate for inclusive design principles, ensuring the end product is accessible to all users.
Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, demonstrated through a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like CSS and JavaScript frameworks to enable effective collaboration with developers.
- Experience developing and managing scalable design systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present design concepts to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of data visualization principles and experience with tools like Tableau or Looker is a plus.

The UX/UI Designer balances user-centered research and intuitive, visually polished interface design. This role flexes between UX research and UI design execution based on project needs and works closely with product and engineering partners to ground decisions in data and user feedback. Duties:

Requirements:

We are actively searching for a UX/UI Designer to support our ongoing Federal program. The work location is currently remote, with a future option to work from our Tysons, VA office or remain remote anywhere in the United States.
Location: Fully Remote (Must be local to Washington, D.C.)
Pay Rate: $70 - $5 an hour W2
?This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our W2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Responsibilities:

Design and conduct user research in compliance with the design thinking process.

Convert research findings, user needs, and feedback, along with business requirements, into actionable tasks.
-
Ideate features from scratch and develop intuitive user interfaces, progressing from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
-
Collaborate and communicate user experience and findings with project stakeholders, including UX Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Product Managers throughout the design process.

Organize and maintain files for easy handoff to developers using Zeplin.
-
Support the development of design systems and style guides through team collaboration.
-
Maintain user-interface and design patterns based on live style guides.
-
Ensure implementations follow web standards, accessibility, and usability best practices.
Experience Requirements:

3-5 years of related experience in UX/UI design.
-
Experience with design tools such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe Design Suite, or other design software.
-
Strong experience and knowledge of user research techniques and data collection methods.
-
Knowledge of responsive web design techniques to address cross-browser and cross-device inconsistencies.
-
Familiarity with design systems and the ability to follow an existing style guide.
-
Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3 capabilities for easy design handoff.
-
Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG compliance.
-
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and timelines with minimal supervision.
-
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Education Requirements:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. (Degree or coursework in HCI is desired.)

A portfolio demonstrating the use of research and UX/UI design skills.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
