General Purpose of Position:
The Offsite Area Supervisor is a part of the supply chain leadership team responsible for driving profitable sales through consistent

**A Day In The Life**
Focus of Position:
+ Under the supervision of the Offsite Manager, the Supervisor will assist in the day-to-day operations of the receiving and processing area of the warehouse.
+ This individual is involved in solving issues, making informed decisions and supervising the back of house operations in order to achievemaximum results.
+ This individual will work to coach, motivate and encourage teamwork among receiving associates to ensure optimal execution ofcompany strategies.
Responsibilities:
+ Coach, train, and develop a team of associates, ensuring they are delivering an outstanding shoppingexperience in a highly professional manner
+ Provide guidance to the receiving team associates to expedite the flow of merchandise from the receivingarea to the sales floor
+ Managing the overall execution of operations and receiving SOPs, including the offsite freight processing procedures
+ Review operational reports and records to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
+ Monitor the receiving process, transfers, debits/damages, and chargebacks, and partner with the ReceivingManager to maintain the accuracy of inventory

Monitors requisitions, product tracking, temperature control, rotation and dating of product, delivery of product, strip of product, inventories and quality control.
Maintains work methods and practices to ensure the PAR's are assembled in accordance with Amtrak's specifications and delivered to each car on time.
Ensures that the commissary facilities and Amtrak's equipment are properly used, secured and maintained.
Enforces commissary, regional and corporate security, safety and sanitation policies. Including the proper use of Power Industrial Vehicles, NRA & FDA regulations.
Supervises the activities of each front-line associate during their shift.
Provides guidance to the commissary team utilizing coaching &counseling when necessary.

Position Overview:
Ensure customer's materials are accounted for accurately, stored properly and safely and available and shipped when needed.

Receiving Duties:

  • Process receipt/returns of customer materials following SOPs.
    • Greeting all incoming trucks and assist in unloading materials when applicable
    • Match incoming paperwork with ASN and reconcile.
    • Verify accuracy of counts, packaging requirements and reconcile.
    • Accurately store incoming materials.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly dock and storage area.

Shipping Duties:

  • Follow tickets and orders to ensure material is shipped correctly.
  • Ship through various software including FedEx, UPS, and Endicia
  • Greeting all outgoing trucks and assist in loading materials when applicable
  • Perform End of Day on all software


Inventory Management & Storage Control Duties:

  • Complete daily cycle counting requirements and maintain accuracy goal.
  • Manage capacity to target.
  • Have customer materials in ideal picking locations.
  • Always have area customer visit ready.

Job Requirements:

  • Customer service YES. Behavior always exhibitedyou own the project and results.
  • Participate in improving processes and systems while updating to support changes.
  • Accurate data input translating customer/vendor supplied information and utilizing EZ Order and Microsoft software.
  • Track activity statistics and billing data to support timely and accurate billing.
  • Provide support to your team and all departments.
  • Physical capabilities for lifting and moving materials up to 50lbs.
  • Passing of forklift safety course
  • Analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record

Success Metrics:

  • Achieve Dock-to-Stock goal of 4 hours or less.
  • Achieve Inventory Accuracy goal of 95% or greater.
  • Maintain 10% available space minimum.
  • On time delivery 100%

About This Position

The Receiving Supervisor oversees assigned aspects of Distribution Center/Warehouse operations in providing commissary operations and services to assigned locations.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with aspects of supervising, training, scheduling and disciplining Full-Time and Part-Time receiving staff, shipping staff, and drivers as assigned
  • Ensure orders are properly received, inventoried, stocked and rotated into warehouse inventory accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure orders are properly picked, scanned and shipped accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate documentation of orders filled
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts as well as semi-annual inventories
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventories of all products
  • Keep all products rotated and properly identified with description and code numbers
  • Ensure all employees know and follow all rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the warehouse
  • Process and manage the submission of weekly time sheets for submission to payroll and maintain attendance calendars and employee files for staff
  • Assist Manager with performing required Employee Performance Reviews for employees (30-day, 90-day, annual)
  • Maintain all areas/equipment/products in a neat, clean and orderly manner
  • Take pride in your surroundings by helping maintain a clean workspace
  • Other duties as determined by the needs of the business
What You'll Need
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years of leadership experience in receiving
  • Must be able to drive a reach truck
  • Valid driver's license

  • Forklift Certification
  • Must be able to drive a reach truck
  • Requires strong supervisory skills: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Ability to work in a correctional environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly
  • Familiarity with inventory management
  • Familiarity with computers (including Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, Excel and Teams)
  • Strong organizational skills
