About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor will report to the Senior Manager of Procurement Operations and Warehousing. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized parts warehouse located in Oakfield, NY. This role is responsible for performing and managing all the required duties and responsibilities for running a warehouse.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm EST, overtime may be required to meet various business needs and requires on-call 24/7 in case of emergencies and plant failures requiring warehouse shipments.  The schedule is subject to change per business needs and management discretion.

Key accountabilities

  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
  • Oversee and perform receiving, shipping, warehousing, and distribution activities.
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with ERP system Acumatica
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of parts warehouse and placement of parts in warehouse.
  • Manage inventory for entire Archaea fleet held in warehouse (Operations, Development, and Specialized department inventories (EHS, R&D, etc.))
  • Perform physical inventory counts and/or cycle counts as required.
  • As needed, drives fleet vehicles for delivery and pickup of materials for Oakfield site and nearby gas plant sites
  • Inspects incoming packages and shipments for damages and shortages and follows appropriate process for reporting and correcting issues.
  • Processes all incoming warranty and core submissions. Includes tagging of warranty items for shop inspection. Tracking all internal re-buildable cores and external cores for submission of credit through Microsoft Excel.
  • Follows established processes and best practices on processing outbound shipments, including active communication with recipients and stakeholders.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Overtime may be required to meet various business needs.
  • Responds to all call outs 24/7 in case of any emergencies and plant failures requiring warehouse shipments.

  • Proven work experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification.
  • DOT Medical card certified or ability to obtain certification.

  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

**Essential Functions**
+ Directly supervises the hourly warehouse employees' activities pertaining to material management, equipment problems, truck loading, truck traffic, housekeeping, cycle counting, and inventory management. Will lead shift safety meetings to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and health policies, procedures, and practices.
+ Communicates & documents employee expectations and assesses employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities and administers disciplinary action up to and including termination if needed. Will be required to assist in the evaluation and selection process of hiring hourly employees.
+ Oversees the training of warehouse employees to ensure they receive adequate training prior to operating forklifts and any other motorized equipment, ensuring they follow the standard operating procedures and work instructions.
+ Understands and performs cycle count activities and how they can affect inventory and all warehouse functions, and all inventory locations are maintained with the correct inventory to ensure shipping documents are accurate - first in, first out should be the priority.
+ Ensuring solid communication between truck drivers and warehouse employees at all times.
+ Assists in performing root-cause analysis as well as implementing sustainable countermeasures on losses related to warehouse activities.
+ Maintains workplace organization to ensure good housekeeping (5S) by holding employees responsible for their assigned work areas. Assures warehouse lighting infrastructure is operational and functioning for efficiency and safety.
+ Reviews and approves employee time in the UKG timekeeping system and ensures employees are paid the correct hours and wages in accordance with the respective sites' pay policies and procedures or collective bargaining agreements.
+ May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

**Position Purpose:**
Responsible for supervising personnel receiving product, pulling orders, loading trucks for next-day delivery, and processing paperwork relating to product delivery. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor assists in the accountability of all equipment in the warehouse. Responsibilities include following established policies and procedures for activities such as receiving, issuing and returning equipment to technicians, and processing defective returns back to vendor(s).
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES:**
+ Assist in the pulling, issuing, and returning of equipment from technicians.
+ Maintain all issue and return receipts generated via the scanner for all daily transactions.
+ Prior to issuing, verify that pulled inventory counts match the original quantity requested and the system issue transaction quantity.
+ Verify and receive inbound inventory and vendor shipments according to prescribed procedures.
+ Stock designated inventory locations with inbound inventory per established procedures.
+ Operate a forklift to unload trucks.
+ Maintains an accurate inventory counts and records of all products warehoused.
+ Perform the return of damaged, defective, and swapped equipment in a timely manner to ensure proper reimbursement and to maximize metric incentive achievements.
+ Maintain safe work environment by following safe practices and adhering to safety policies. Report any accidents, losses, injuries or property damage to supervisor and customer based on established policies.
+ Operate company equipment safely in accordance with established policies and ensure that maintenance and care is performed appropriately.
+ Enhance the organization's reputation through personal accountability for accomplishing new and different requests and always striving to add value.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for the supervision of required activities and personnel in the receiving, casting shed, stockperson, and material handling functions within the Machine Shop.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Assign, direct, and observe the daily work and activities of personnel involved with receiving, material handling, stockroom, and casting shed per fulfillment needs.
+ Assure that the established policies, rules and regulations, procedures and the Collective Bargaining Agreement are followed.
+ Minimize disruptions to flow within operations; create standard work for what to do when flow is disrupted, resolve or escalate to get timely resolution as needed.
+ Monitor and track daily performance metrics on value stream board, including safety, quality, delivery and cost.
+ Assure that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production.
+ Ensure an adequate supply of perishable items are available to maintain manufacturing schedules.
+ Responsible for sustainment of overall continuous improvement strategy for material storage optimization, PFEP, and material flow.
+ Effectively produce written documents such as production reports or procedures/ work instructions when necessary
+ Assist in the oversight and management of material handling (tugger) route.
+ Sustainment of Kanban system.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2 years in a supervisory or manufacturing technical support role (e.g. Value Stream Manager, Manufacturing Services), OR
+ Associate's Degree in a technical/related field with 5 years related manufacturing supervisory or lead role, OR
+ High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years in a manufacturing supervisory or leadership role.
OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
