Supervises and participates in activities of regular associates and/or temporary workers. Assesses production schedules and man-hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Interprets company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and adherence. Enforces safety regulations. Evaluates and assesses production methods, performances and efficiency for improvements and/or changes. Prepares associate performance evaluations and assists in the administration of reviews. Determines time and production standards and maintains records. Must have a "can-do", "make-it-happen" attitude. This is demonstrated by displaying the ability to use perseverance and initiative in order to ensure top performance, quality and service to our stores. Responsible for developing and maintaining an open, engaging labor relation's environment that remains issue free.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Trains, assesses, motivates, coaches, and evaluates associates in all areas of job duties using established methods and standards.
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with other Area Supervisors, DC Operations Managers, and Human Resources.
- Ensures rapid, accurate movement and processing of merchandise using established-engineered methods and standards.
- Responsible for quality of work for all associates; regulars and temporaries.
- Enforces policies and safety regulations.
- Prepares associate evaluations and administers reviews with the assistance of the DC Operations Manager.
- Organizes and prioritizes daily work orders and staffing needs to meet production goals.
- Provides updates to DC Operations Manager on production planning information and needs/problems of the area.
- Conducts disciplinary meetings regarding job performance with associates, in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Performs job applicant interviews and makes hiring decisions.
- Participates in the separation process when direct reports are terminated.
- Works on special projects as needed.
- Maintains daily paperwork, such as time and production records.
- Assists merchandise processors with paperwork, ticketing problems and troubleshooting orders.
- Develops and monitors statistics pertinent to department productivity and service standards.
- Facilitates associate training/meetings for subjects such as safety, human resources, new process orientation, and other subjects as conditions necessitate.

Physical Requirements Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks. Essential Job Duties Supervise, coach, and train all warehouse associates and beneficiaries to reach operation efficiency and achieve production goals. Evaluate employee performances and give accurate reviews and clear attainable goals. Overall responsibility for production department performance and must show willingness to lead by example. Ensure that all merchandise is priced according to pricing policy. Ensure that quality control is maintained for all materials going to the stores. Responsible for the collection and security of all jewelry and other high ticket items. Responsible for the adherence to the policy that no merchandise is taken, given or lent. Shopping or storing product is strictly prohibited. Merchandise is never sent to a specific location with the intent to purchase at a later date. Ensure the safe, proper use, and maintenance of warehouse supplies and production equipment. Keep immediate working area clean, neat and organized. Follows safety measures established and maintained by ARC policy and government regulations. Overtime: Any and all overtime must have the written approval of the supervisor. The supervisor’s initials must appear on the timecard besides the overtime hours. Your supervisor may assign other written or verbal duties.
