A large manufacturer in Anderson, IN is searching for multiple Warehouse Workers on both morning and night shifts. You will learn how to work in the entire distribution center, including picking, loading, and receiving. This is an open-ended contract, with no guarantee of permanent placement, but standout employees may be eligible for permanent positions as they become available.
**Responsibilities**
+ Accurately pick products from designated locations based on order specifications.
+ Safely operate an electric pallet jack to transport products throughout the warehouse.
+ Use scanning equipment to ensure correct items are picked and track inventory.
+ Double-check picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy.
+ Place picked items onto pallets in a secure and organized manner.
+ Pull pallets off the conveyor.
+ Scan pallets using the provided equipment.
+ Utilize the SAP system to determine the appropriate door for each pallet.
+ Transport pallets to the designated door using a sit-down forklift.
+ Ensure all safety protocols are followed during the loading process.
+ Use the SAP system to identify the correct door for incoming shipments.
+ Unload shipments from trucks and other delivery vehicles.
+ Stage the area for the next order by tucking the tails, ensuring tags and labels are correct, and putting items away.
**Required Skills**
+ Willingness to operate electric pallet jack.
+ Willingness to learn and operate sit-down forklift.
+ Ability to work in cold temperatures.
+ Self-motivated and able to stay on task.
**Shift & Pay**
+ 1st shift: 6am - 6pm (2/2/3 schedule) - **$20**
+ Training is from 6am - 2pm for the first two weeks
+ 3rd shift: 6pm - 6am (2/2/3 schedule) - **$0**
+ Training is from 6pm - 2am for the first two weeks
+ Breaks include two 20-minute paid breaks and one 30-minute unpaid break.

**Work Environment**

The pay range for this position is 20.00 - 20.00/hr.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Works with several agency food programs. Pick up product from donors and distribute to partners and the community members within a four-county service area. Requires operation of a cargo van, box truck, forklift, and various pallet jacks to safely load, transport, and unload food and related product.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Operate a cargo van or box truck to pick up and deliver products. Ensure vehicle is properly loaded, secured, and within weight limits.
- Follow a schedule for pick-up and delivery; maintain record of pick-up and delivery activities, including records such as mileage and temperature logs.
- Load and unload vehicle by hand, pallet jack, or forklift.
- Ensure proper implementation of procedures related to receiving incoming product and distribution of outgoing product.
- Complete all routes in the most efficient manner possible.
- Assist in labeling incoming product.
- Pull and stack orders using a predetermined invoice.
- Assist in monthly inventory and warehouse cleaning using a predetermined procedure.
- Assists with a variety of warehousing duties including storing product using the First In First Out (FIFO) method, inventory counts, and washing totes
- Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles, warehouse, and workspace.
- Maintain equipment and report any equipment issues.
- Always provide exemplary customer service when interacting with all donors, partners, and community members.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
- A High School Diploma, GED or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Experience picking up and delivering product is preferred.
- Must operate cargo van, forklift and various pallet jacks
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
- Possess basic math skills and legible handwriting.
- Good communication skills and ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Experience with computers and the Microsoft Office suite is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to bend, kneel and crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
While driving, operators are exposed to noise and vibration levels which may be higher than those typically experienced in passenger cars. The employee will lift, and/or carry/move objects up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. The employee may be subject to long trips, tight delivery schedules, delays in route, and stresses and fatigue related to driving a commercial vehicle on highways in various weather conditions.
The employee in this position may spend up to 75% of time outdoors and be subject to temperature, weather, and outside environment extremes. Will be required to enter and exit coolers and freezers with temperatures ranging from -10 degrees Fahrenheit to 42 degrees Fahrenheit.
This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers/scanners, shredders and filing cabinets.
