RESPONSIBILITIES
- Job-site quality: Distribute work among crew members, oversee tasks, monitor work quality, and serve as the crew’s liaison to management. Inherent is responsibility for the consistent delivery of on-time work product and service consistent with Rubicon Landscape and contract quality standards. Identify irrigation issues and make suggestion, repairs and maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Schedule week’s work routes/very early dawn shifts to adjust for pedestrian traffic and busy parking zones to complete scheduled work.
- Maintain flowers, shrubs, ground covers, lawns, hedges, and other plants: Plant, grade, seed and fertilize; mow, trim and weed; spray. Remove debris, water, and make irrigation adjustments.
- Vehicles and equipment:Clean and prepare vehicles for the next service day; inspect and maintain equipment (includes lubricating as needed) before use to ensure proper and safe operation; report problems to the Supervisor.
- General conduct and safety:Provide initial contact to team members regarding correction of inappropriate or unprofessional behavior.Provide immediate reporting of unsafe working conditions and/or practices to the Supervisor.
- Communication: Build relationships with clients and property managers; serve as first point of contact in the field for questions and issues.
- Training: Provide training regularly on the safe use of equipment, PPE, policies, procedures, and best horticultural practices to team members including AbilityOne participants

COMPETENCIES

- Possess a landscape construction background to manage and assist in new landscape
 installations or renovations to existing landscapes. Maintain time management for developing phases of landscape projects and plan for materials to be used on the sites.
- Exhibit flexibility and knowledge to operate various construction equipment such as tractors, trenchers, excavators, compactor plates and trench compactors.
- Comfortable in using technology and software in a daily basis.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3 years minimum of Crew Leader experience
- 2-3 years of irrigation repair experience preferred
- Proof of a valid driver license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle report.

- Maintains onsite buildings and grounds by performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming carpets, waxing floors, washing outside of buildings, weeding flowerbeds, trimming bushes, and removing trash.
- Responds to resident requests and works with public during site investigations and passing out public flyers.

- Asses parts to determine the cause of failure and/or their reusability. - Communicate with parts department personnel to order the necessary parts required to complete repair(s).
 
- Perform assignments in a variety of environments, including the field, on customer's sites and in the shop.
- Customer satisfaction is our priority at Modern Machinery; all customer inquiries must be handled promptly and in a professional manner. - Effectively communicate to the customer the machine's problem, the intended plan for repair and provide status updates throughout the repair process.
- Establish strong customer relationships.
- Work well under pressure and within deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
 
- Ensure the assigned field service truck is appropriately maintained and kept clean.
- Complete and submit assigned work order reports, time entry and all other paperwork on company provided laptop daily. - When appropriate compile any additional documentation necessary for completeness.
 
- Assist other technicians on large repairs or projects.
- Attend and participate in appropriate training(s).
