Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills and a commitment to customer service, while also being able to handle the physical demands of the job.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own vehicle to deliver goods to the designated location. Will require 50/100/50 liability insurance.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and receipts.
- Handle any necessary paperwork related to deliveries and returns.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a courier role is preferred.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in route driving, moving, or commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate a forklift and other loading equipment is beneficial.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
