We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial reporting, support project accounting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Responsibilities and Duties
The Senior Accountant will collaborate with finance leadership, project teams, and management to:
-- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules.
-- Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.
-- Support project accounting by tracking costs, billing, and revenue recognition.
-- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
-- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
-- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries for accuracy.
-- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide required documentation.
-- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in financial operations.
-- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on best practices.

Requirements
-- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
-- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in construction, engineering, or a project-based industry.
-- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
-- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Viewpoint, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
-- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
-- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

About Camby Family Dentistry

Camby Family Dentistry, like each Heartland Dental supported office, is unique to the community and the patients they serve. With the support of a practice manager, a highly trained team on site, coupled with a vast network of experts across the nation, you’ll be completely connected to all the resources and support of Heartland Dental. 

• Schedule: Mondays: 7:30am-4:30pm, Tuesdays: 6:30am-4pm

Minimum Qualifications  

• Current dental hygienist license in Indiana and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
