**JOB QUALIFICATIONS:**
Under directive supervision, with some latitude for planning or laying out of working details, must be able to do the most complicated construction and maintenance work on dead or energized transmission and underground or overhead distribution conductors, structures and equipment, and be qualified to do the following and related work as assigned
-Have equivalent experience in related work, having all the qualifications of Lineman 2nd Class.
-Make all types of transformer installations; do phasing and check rotation on circuits; trace and clear grounds and opens on series circuits.
-Do all classes of hot line tool work.
-Reeve blocks.
-Plan and lay out all work in a safe and efficient manner.
-Check, handle and be responsible for all material removed from and returned to stock, and prepare reports and records.
-Act in capacity of supervisor when authorized.

**EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:**
-Know Company's safety rules, and be able to administer all approved methods of resuscitation, and be able to render practical first aid on or off the ground.
-Know the location of, and be able to operate, all of the firefighting equipment. Know what kind of equipment to use on electrical, oil and other fires.
-Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
-Have a thorough working knowledge of electric transmission and distribution circuits and related equipment including Switchman certification.
-Have thorough knowledge of hot line tools and their application.
-Be able to read and understand all wiring diagrams and blueprints as related to transmission and distribution construction and maintenance.
-Fully understand and be proficient in using technology needed to perform job such as computers, tablets and associated software.
-Accurately identify and record all changes to constructed jobs according to Company requirements.

Primary Purpose: Assists electrician to install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
Typical Duties: Measures, cuts, and bends wires and conduit using ruler and hand tools. Drills holes for wiring using power drill and pulls or pushes wiring through opening. Assists in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects, such as wiring, conduit, and motors. Performs minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches using hand tools. Maintains tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order. Disassembles defective electrical equipment, such as motors using hand tools. Load, transport, unload, and furnish Electrician with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary. May erect scaffolding. May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials during installation. Perform other routine duties as directed by experienced craft person.
Requirements: Minimum 1yr experience with I&E. Must be able to furnish own transportation to and from job sites in the North Texas area. Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age. Must not use illegal drugs or excessive alcohol and must consent to a drug and alcohol test as required. Must be able to comply with safety standards. Must have own hand tools. Must be knowledgeable of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Workers should be able to: follow specific directions; perform a variety of duties, which may often change; work within standard of accuracy; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure; and evaluate information using measurable standards. We train new technicians on the job, teaching them every step of the process until they are ready for the next step. trained technicians drive company vehicles carrying state of the art equipment along with the latest products to provide the most effective clean possible. This is achieved by power washing the systems, including filters, ductwork and fans. If you are someone who enjoys the sights and scenery of a road trip, possesses the ability to adapt and overcome unforeseen obstacles and likes to feel an internal sense of pride over your work then this is the position for you.
