The Network Architect is part of the Information Technology (IT) department, which resides on the IT Infrastructure team and reports to the Director of IT Services. As the Network Architect, you will be responsible for leading and architecting major network projects that have high impact while maintaining minimal down time. The Network Architect will ensure the security and configuration of our enterprise devices meet all required CIS standards, best practices, and approved levels of compliance.

This role will require working in-person from our Albany, NY office.

What You'll Do:

  • Full life-cycle network engineering: design, configuration, implementation, and management
  • Work with stakeholders to interpret internal/external business challenges and design and solution to meet requests and issues raised by the organization
  • Make decisions, take action, lead meetings and projects, and plan network solutions independently with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Maintain and architect all network infrastructure and ensure each infrastructure adheres to foundational best practices and compliance standards
  • Architect and implement enterprise network solutions

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field*
  • 7+ years' experience managing a Cisco network in a complex environment, specifically maintaining and configuring Cisco next generation firewalls, routers, and switches
  • 5+ years' experience designing and architecting network solutions
  • Cisco CCNP certification, Data Center preferred
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining and configuring Cisco ISE, ACI and Firepower platforms
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Software Defined Networking (SDN) in AWS and Azure

**Job Description**
AECOM's Roanoke, Virginia office is seeking a Senior Design Architect. + Collaborates with the Design Director and other team members in developing design concepts
+ Meet directly with the owner/client and analyze project goals

+ Designs in accordance with project schedules, budgets, applicable codes, and ordinances
+ Initiate and create designs with responsibility for the preparation of presentation drawings, models, and narratives
+ Directs the production of schematic, design development, and construction documents
+ Manages design responsibilities on several concurrent projects
+ Oversees the review of design documents for compliance with program and design concepts
+ Directs and coordinates design consultants in all phases
+ Develop integrated design solutions balancing the needs of all design disciplines related to overall building design
+ Generates and supervises design presentations
+ Participates in and/or leads client presentations and interviews
+ Promotes firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and environmental responsibility
+ Takes an active role in a local professional association and represents the firm at national events and outside associations
+ Demonstrates understanding of project management process including scope, budgets, and schedule
+ Stays current with evolving building technology and systems applicable to the design process

You will apply your deep understanding of memory array architectures, high-speed interface design, logic & custom circuit design, memory subsystem operation, high-performance computing architectures and 2.5D & 3D package integration to understand and analyze bottlenecks and propose innovative architectures to target outstanding performance, power, cost, reliability and quality for Micron's HBM product portfolio.

+ Pathfinding to explore new architectures for future HBM products and make recommendations after performing highly technical feasibility analyses

+ Focus areas within team will include memory array architectures, on-die and off-die high speed signaling, Physical Layer & interface development, power delivery network planning and optimization, power consumption reduction, CMOS requirements identification, packaging technologies and thermal modeling
+ Maintain technical expertise and provide training
+ Chip in to cross group communication to work towards standardization and group success
+ Proactively solicit mentorship from Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to ensure the design quality

**Successful candidates for this position will have:**
+ In depth technical expertise in one or more areas - memory array design, high-speed clocking and interface development, logic and custom circuit design, power delivery optimization, CMOS & semiconductor device physics, 2.5D and 3D packaging technologies
+ Extensive experience with CMOS circuit design and good understanding of semiconductor device physics
+ Familiarity with DRAM operation and JEDEC specifications, preferably with HBM product family
+ Strong process technology development experience and understanding of both IDM, as well as Foundry operating models
+ Knowledge and experience in digital (Verilog) and analog (FastSpice & Hspice) modeling and simulations
+ Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to optimally synthesize and convey sophisticated technical concepts to other partners and leadership
+ Proven track record of innovation and problem-solving in high-performance memory development
+ Bonus - Good understanding of Memory subsystem operation in high-performance computing applications
+ Bonus - Prior experience with RTL Design flow, in DRAM process or Foundry process
