What is an Art Specialist:

Extended Day Activity Instructors - Performing Arts Specialists are responsible for leading after school programming for children and teens at New York Edge after-school program sites. The activity instructor will teach or co-lead activities in one of the following areas: performing arts, visual art, media art etc. They will foster self-expression, creativity, and artistic skill development in a supportive and engaging environment. Additionally, they will guide students in exploring different art techniques while ensuring an inclusive and inspiring space for all participants.

What will you do:

• Build strong relationships with and among students
• Teach or co-lead daily activities with clear objectives for lessons, projects
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests
• Support the coordination of program events
• Input data and prepare reports
• Administer pre and post-assessments and evaluations for student activities
• Other duties as assigned.

• College credits and/or degrees are highly preferred

The Culinary Arts Program at Kingsborough Community College seeks Adjunct Lecturers with a history of significant industry experience. The Culinary Arts Program is recognized for its leadership in Culinary Arts study and workforce training in the New York Metropolitan region. **Responsibilities:**
● Develop and review content-specific test items, including multiple choice, technology enhanced, extended response, cluster sets, performance-based tasks, and simulations across multiple grade levels for large-scale assessments
● Help develop item, passage, and test specifications, item development plans, test blueprints, and other ancillary documents
● Help select, assign, manage, and train item/passage writers and educators to develop items based on standards, cognitive complexity, and item development best practices
● Facilitate and support customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise

**Compensation at Pearson** is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. This role will encompass providing strong supervision to interns, offer creative arts afterschool groups, help develop afterschool SEL projects, and offer counseling via individual, group and family sessions, and crisis intervention during the school day to students in temporary housing.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Serve as mental health liaison with school community
