Job Summary

The Lab Technician - Aviation Maintenance performs general duties that are of a technical nature in a specialized area. This role maintains and provides tools and equipment, performs diagnostic services and minor repairs, and performs other functions to support the aviation laboratory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Laboratory Technical Support

  • Distributes tools and equipment to students for classroom and laboratory use, documents disbursements, and collects and stores tools following use. Cleans tools, equipment, and floor. Cleans and maintains the lab area. Opens and closes the Lab at shift end and ensures equipment is stored in the proper location to secure the Aviation Lab.
  • Ensures tools, equipment, and training aids are functional, operational, and performs needed diagnostic service and minor repairs. Replaces tools and equipment when necessary. Prepares new training aids and donated vehicles for laboratory use.
  • Performs vehicle preventive maintenance. Charges batteries, maintains fuel levels, monitors tire pressure, and performs other maintenance of a routine nature. Schedules aircraft work for laboratory projects. Orders aircraft service and repair, labor time and estimation manuals, and updates automotive computer programs.
Inventory & Clerical Support
  • Maintains and updates inventory of tools, special service kits, equipment, stock items, and vehicles. Monitors disbursements, orders needed items, and obtains bid offers on new equipment.
  • Utilizes college-approved contractors to ensure proper handling and disposal of waste oil and other hazardous materials. Keeps accurate records. Completes and maintains required documentation, including inventory reports, work orders, and requisitions.
Program Support
  • Assists instructors. Obtains and returns training materials, sets up vehicles and other training aids, and arranges chairs, tables, and equipment. Answers routine questions, gives aviation lab tours, provides general information, and performs other duties to maintain good public and student relations.

  • Fosters and maintains a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have a high school Diploma or GED with technical or vocational Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) training.
  • Two (2) years of maintenance experience on an aircraft
  • Aviation Maintenance Technician Certificate with Airframe & Powerplant Ratings
  • State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s)

  • Forklift Operator Certification preferred

**Position Summary**
On behalf of our client, we are looking for two G600 pilots for a Part 91 account based at KBED, but these roles will allow you to commute from anywhere in the United States. These are additional headcount to offer a good schedule for all full-time pilots. The aircraft flies approximately 70 - 80 flights per year, 200 hours in total, flying all over the globe. The extra pilots will allow for crew rotation every 30 - 60 days.

**Main Responsibilities**
+ Safely operate the aircraft, determine departure times and routes, and/or cancel flights based on weather or other conditions
+ Ensure that the flight is conducted in complete compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations and policies and procedures
+ Institute all necessary changes as required by en route conditions such that the flight may continue under appropriate company policies, procedures and rules
+ Responsible for conducting the flight in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with industry and company standards
+ Accurate completion of all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures
+ Responsible for ensuring a thorough and complete understanding with the second in command regarding all aspects of flight
+ Record all aircraft discrepancies as they occur on the aircraft discrepancy log and immediately report these discrepancies to the director of maintenance or their designee as soon as possible. Refer to the approved MEL and as directed by the DOM or his designee determine if the inoperative item can be deferred or needs to be repaired and completes the aircraft discrepancy log as required
+ Determine that the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and that they are mentally and physically fit for duty
+ Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems which they are authorized to operate to include all emergency systems and procedures associated with the aircraft
+ Secure the aircraft after each flight to include arranging hangar storage if they deem necessary or they are instructed to do so by the company management
+ Obtain the most current weather reports, forecasts and NOTAMS from a FAA flight service station or other authorized agency
+ File or cause a flight plan to be filed with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility
+ Analyze area, enroute and terminal charts for the airport of intended landing and alternates
+ Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator {ISC) under the provision of the twelve five standard security program or private charter standard security program as applicable
+ Conduct the required passenger safety briefings or assign that duty to the second in command
+ Impart knowledge and skills to the second in command to prepare them to assume the duties of Pilot in Command in an emergency or when the second in command upgrades to pilot in command in that aircraft
+ Complete and send the leg manifest to ops control prior to each departure
+ Complete and send the End of DAY {EOD) report to ops control upon completion of each flight day
+ Responsible for taking an active role supporting the open sharing of information on all safety issues and reporting all safety hazards and concerns
+ Responsible for making an immediate report in any hazardous action, conduct or event to the chief pilot and director of safety
+ The pilot in command may delegate these duties but not the responsibility for those duties
+ Other duties may be required, as needed

Aircraft Maintenance is responsible for servicing, inspecting, repairing, and managing the overall quality assurance program for the corporate aircraft and associated equipment in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and IS-BAO standards as defined in the Company Flight Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures. - Approves contractor's pay estimates and leads discussions with contractors.
- Recent experience developing aviation projects funded by the FAA and State of Ohio is desired.

- Thorough knowledge and application of FAA design standards and specifications
- Proficient in design of aviation/civil engineering projects including alignments, profiles, typical sections, site grading and drainage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.

- Bachelor's or higher Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- State PE License is required.

**Role Summary**
The Project Director will provide overall direction and leadership for the assigned work program across all phases of the project lifecycle. This position is responsible for providing operational excellence, financial management, team leadership and relationship management with all stakeholders, driving the contracting and comprehensive risk management in order to meet or exceed all contractual and financial targets. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

**Key Role Responsibilities - Core**
_PROJECT DIRECTOR FAMILY - CORE_
- Provides direction and leadership for the assigned project or work program across all phases of the project lifecycle. Develops and executes full business and strategic planning for the work program in support of company strategy and KSIs.
- Safety Leadership: Leads all aspects of the company's safety culture and creates awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. Investigates safety incidents and retrains staff as needed and implements corrective action.
- Corporate Leadership: Assists senior management with strategy development; develops and supports company-wide initiatives, best practices and policies within the work program.
- Strategy Development and Implementation: Provides strategic direction to team members in light of broader work program strategic plans across all areas of the project lifecycle.
- Client Relationship Management: Serves as the primary client relationship executive at a leadership level, exhibiting a deep knowledge and understanding of the client. Builds and maintains long-term relationships with existing target clients for the assigned work program to build new business opportunities and cultivate repeat wins. Provides project-specific guidance to team members in light of broader client relationship strategy.
- Risk Management & Issue Resolution: Serves as escalation point for all project, financial, business development, contractual and client relationship risks for the work program relative to contractual obligations. Negotiates issue resolution including change orders, contingency expenditures and appropriate fee enhancements. Conducts project risk assessments and escalates various risks, such as quality or financial issues, to supervisor to provide visibility, mitigate risk and create appropriate solutions.
- Subcontractor Relationship & Strategy: Builds close relationships with the subcontractor community in order to develop long-term partners who meet SMS criteria and align with company philosophy and best practice. Drives the selection process of qualified subcontractors to achieve targeted project results. Develops and executes overall subcontractor strategy for work program success.
- Preconstruction: Leads preconstruction discussions with clients at a leadership level. Leads internal team and collaborates with external partners to develop contractual obligations, such as complete estimates with contingencies, schedules, constructability, staffing plan and business plan.
- Project & Schedule Review: Oversees and is accountable for all components of project and schedule review throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure contractual obligations are met and to hold team members accountable to all expectations.
- Resource Management: Ensures staffing levels are sufficient, relative to contractual commitments, schedules, staffing levels and constraints. Plans and adapts resource management as needed to ensure proper staffing levels and results.
- Community & Industry Engagement: Assumes an influential leadership role in community and industry relationship building through networking, representing the organization on boards and serving as the face of the organization to help promote the interests of the company.
- Leads, supports and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn. Understands JE Dunn's policy of non-discrimination and ensures positive, proactive implementation throughout the organization.

+ Thorough knowledge of MBE (Minority Business Enterprise), WBE (Women Owned Business Enterprise), and SBA (Small Business Administration) regulations
+ Thorough knowledge and application of corporate risk management policies
+ Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
**Education**
+ Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field
+ In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
**Experience**
+ 15+ years construction management experience (Preferred)
+ 5+ years people management experience (Required)
+ Demonstrated success in simultaneously leading multiple large or complex projects and/or multiple teams (Required)
+ Experience managing large 50M+ Aviation projects (Required).
**Working Environment**
+ Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
+ May require periods of overnight travel
+ Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
+ Normal office environment, but may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)
+ Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen
+ Occasional activity: Bending, Climbing, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling
