The FAA's National Airspace System (NAS) Enterprise Services Group (AJW-17) serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility for second-level engineering and operational support of enterprise-level systems in the NAS. Providing 24/7 technical assistance, AJW-17 ensures vital NAS systems operate safely, reliably, and securely by managing trouble tickets, troubleshooting system failures, resolving performance issues, and overseeing lifecycle maintenance activities. AJW-17 integrates cybersecurity standards, configuration control, and enterprise architecture compliance into FAA infrastructure modernization efforts, aligning technology implementation with strategic resilience, security, and mission assurance objectives.

Noblis is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineers to join our team. This role is responsible for software engineering and development for the FAA's Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS), a BNATCS System, that supports Air Traffic Controllers in their decision making directing aircraft. E-IDS will be in locations across the nation, supporting 5,000 Air Traffic Control positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing operational software for the E-IDS

  • Interpret and decompose system, service, and network architectures and requirements

  • Design and plan system implementation through the development of detailed implementation plans, ensuring alignment with architecture

  • Provide support for a variety of technologies including Windows Operating Systems, Windows OS, Red Hat Linux and VDI (Virtual Desktop Interface).

  • Apply systems engineering principles to identify and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

  • Ensure systems are patched and compliant with Windows security best practices.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Internet Protocol (IP), DNS, and general network configuration.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and knowledge-sharing materials.

  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts in both written and verbal formats

Job Profile

The Aircraft Project Manager has a critical role supporting a large fleet of business jet aircraft. They organize and coordinate cross-functional teams comprised of aircraft subject experts and stakeholders tasked with delivering time sensitive aircraft projects. The Aircraft Project Manager provides strategic guidance and tactical assistance as required to each team. The output of this position is the "hands-on" coordination of various stakeholders tasked with ensuring each project is properly justified, implemented, and tracked to schedule. They provide continuous aircraft project and integration status, communications, and recommendations to Maintenance leadership and other groups. The Aircraft Project Manager will serve on the QA team as a fleet level leader of aircraft related projects, integration, and conformity.

Responsibilities
  • Manages the aircraft conformity process to ensure the aircraft meets all regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Prepares the document package(s) for the Chief Inspector for review prior to submission by the Chief Inspector to the FAA.
  • Liaise, alongside the Chief Inspector, with all applicable departments to ensure a smooth entry into service of the aircraft.
  • Overseeing pre-purchase inspection activities at the selected MRO.
  • Manages the import and export of aircraft.
  • Manages aircraft entering and exiting the fleet.
  • Overseeing recordkeeping alongside the Technical Records Specialist
  • Develop and own the aircraft project standard procedures and the gated process flow.
  • Lead and/or assist in the development and execution of aircraft projects and campaigns.

Job Summary

The Lab Technician - Aviation Maintenance performs general duties that are of a technical nature in a specialized area. This role maintains and provides tools and equipment, performs diagnostic services and minor repairs, and performs other functions to support the aviation laboratory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Laboratory Technical Support

  • Distributes tools and equipment to students for classroom and laboratory use, documents disbursements, and collects and stores tools following use. Cleans tools, equipment, and floor. Cleans and maintains the lab area. Opens and closes the Lab at shift end and ensures equipment is stored in the proper location to secure the Aviation Lab.
  • Ensures tools, equipment, and training aids are functional, operational, and performs needed diagnostic service and minor repairs. Replaces tools and equipment when necessary. Prepares new training aids and donated vehicles for laboratory use.
  • Performs vehicle preventive maintenance. Charges batteries, maintains fuel levels, monitors tire pressure, and performs other maintenance of a routine nature. Schedules aircraft work for laboratory projects. Orders aircraft service and repair, labor time and estimation manuals, and updates automotive computer programs.
Inventory & Clerical Support
  • Maintains and updates inventory of tools, special service kits, equipment, stock items, and vehicles. Monitors disbursements, orders needed items, and obtains bid offers on new equipment.
  • Utilizes college-approved contractors to ensure proper handling and disposal of waste oil and other hazardous materials. Keeps accurate records. Completes and maintains required documentation, including inventory reports, work orders, and requisitions.
Program Support
  • Assists instructors. Obtains and returns training materials, sets up vehicles and other training aids, and arranges chairs, tables, and equipment. Answers routine questions, gives aviation lab tours, provides general information, and performs other duties to maintain good public and student relations.

Minimum Qualifications

The role of a Aviation Engineer is to lead various airport engineering and planning projects at commercial service and/or general aviation airports. **Your Responsibilities**
+ Serve as a technical specialist and consultant to the transportation engineering discipline on aviation related projects.
+ Prepare reports, develop project design elements including plans, specifications, and estimates.
+ Identify and analyze the principal design features and major design alternatives that satisfy the project's purpose and need.
+ Peer review plans and provide quality control reviews of technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
+ Mentor junior staff in technical design elements and the development of project documents.

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Thorough knowledge and application of FAA design standards and specifications
+ Proficient in design of aviation/civil engineering projects including alignments, profiles, typical sections, site grading and drainage.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
+ MS Office program experience, especially Word and Excel
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor's or higher Degree in Civil Engineering is required.

Visible tattoos are permitted on the arms, wrist, legs, ankles, and feet if less than 2" x 3.25"; otherwise, they must be fully covered by a listed, approved tattoo coverage method.
+ Must have a wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater to reach and safely operate all necessary equipment on the aircraft.
+ For safety reasons must have the ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without extender or other modification that may harm the integrity of the harness. For reference purposes only: The lap belt measurement is 50 inches when fastened and the shoulder harness measurement is 40 inches when fastened.
+ Must not have multiple piercings visible while in uniform.
