Main position objectives:

The Die Plate Designer provides the highest quality design and technical support for the Maag family of equipment to include: die plates and die plate related items.  Working independently but supported by others, the incumbent is the die plate designer for our customer’s pelletizing systems.

This position supports the design and documentation of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components used in flight test operations for GA-ASI products, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools, including Zuken, and a strong understanding of engineering documentation processes.

DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and create CAD models and drawings of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components in accordance with engineering specifications and standards, with a focus on flight test hardware and systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop accurate and complete technical documentation, including assembly drawings, part drawings, and bill of materials (BOM).

(CEC), you'll work with project managers to produce civil site, water resources, stream restoration, and solid waste construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D to include site plans, grading & drainage plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, storm and sewer profiles. Role and Responsibilities

1. Design frameworks for a project
2. Work with Engineers to develop product drawings to meet specifications
3. Create detailed design documentation and drawings
4. Assign project task scheduling
5. Aid in the selection of Material for the product
6. Produce final design specifications
7. Ability to create revisions
8. Maintains an organized file system for drawings
9. Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications: Required

• High School Diploma
• 2 - 5 years' experience designing models and parts in a 3D CAD system
• Experience in Engineering Change Management and drawing management

Qualifications: Preferred

• Associate Technical Degree in related field
• Experience in SolidWorks

General Physical Demands & Safety Awareness:

• For general manufacturing & warehousing areas with MEDIUM duty, employees should be able to exert or lift up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs. of force frequently. Walking, bending, standing, and sitting are foreseen frequently.
• For general office areas with LIGHT duty, employees should be able to exert or lift up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 5 lbs. of force frequently. Both standing and sitting foreseen frequently.
