Maximus is currently hiring for Call Center Agents to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. This is a remote opportunity. The Call Center Agent is responsible for screening all incoming VES calls, as well as directing courteous, educated information to both Veterans and providers alike. This position will require daily high volume inbound and outbound calling.

This position will start training on Monday, November 3, 2025.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Properly authenticate each caller before verifying or releasing any information.
- Place outgoing and receive incoming calls to and from Veterans regarding compensation and pension exams.
- Verify and modify personal information.
- Obtain scheduling availability and traveling availability of Veterans.
- Confirm or reschedule appointments.
- Properly modify changes and document information in OMS.
- Forward calls to staff members in other departments.
- Notify providers of cancellations for appointments scheduled within 72 hours from time of call.

- Ability to commit to a five week training period of 8:00AM-4:30PM CT Monday-Friday with zero absences starting Monday November 3, 2025 is required.

- After training is completed, the ability to work a shift between the hours of 5:45AM-7:00PM CT Monday-Friday or between the hours of 7:15AM-4:00PM CT Tuesday-Saturday is required.

- Minimum six (6) months Customer Service experience is required.

- Previous VES experience is preferred.

- One (1) year previous Call center experience is preferred.

Please note upon hire, Veteran Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus Co. will provide all necessary computer equipment that is to be utilized to fulfill the duties of your role. New hires will not be exempt from using company provided equipment.

Department Summary

We currently have an open position for a Patient Experience Representative role. This role provides customer service by assisting with our call center and various projects throughout the department.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Demonstrates positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations.
  • Interacts and provides positive and effective customer service to patients and families.
  • Responds to routine inquiries about hospital protocol, policies, and procedures.
  • Involves supervisor to assist with resolution of complex issues.

Scheduling

  • Under close supervision, schedules patient encounters and procedures to coordinate with and across providers, departments, and institutions.
  • Monitors daily schedule and coordinates flow to optimize resource utilization and patient experience. With guidance, communicates with clinicians and/or supervisors and routes patients/visitors to maintain efficient patient/visitor flow.

Administration

  • Answer, screen, and route telephone calls. Record and forward messages and triage calls for urgent information or services. Initiate calls for emergency services as required.

Registers new patients.

  • With guidance, collaborates and communicates with referring providers and practices to facilitate management of complex patient issues.

Patient Registration/Admissions/Discharge

  • Monitors clinic activity to ensure the best possible patient experience.
  • Prepares routine forms required for appointment and daily operations.
  • Records and processes patient demographics, insurance/payment, and referral information for patient encounters.
  • Collects all necessary clinical documentation and information. Transcribes code and patient treatment information into a billing system.
  • May collect, record and secure co-payments made by patients/ families. Reconciles payments and prepares deposits providing an accurate accounting of fund. Provides an accurate record of transactions in the Hospital systems.
  • Obtains required authorizations, referrals, and verifications of insurance to compile patient and staff schedules.

Minimum qualifications

Education:

  • A high school level of education, bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

  • Prior customer service or administrative experience preferred
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies

Schedule: Hybrid

This role is eligible for a $2,000 sign on bonus (not eligible for internal candidates).

Maximus is looking for a Remote Call Center Quality Monitor in the Lawrence, KS area. The Call Center Quality Monitor will evaluate recorded and/or transcribed interactions between the caller/chatter/correspondent and Customer Service Representatives using the QA evaluation solution, and provide appropriate context for ratings and provide accurate scoring in accordance with approved criteria, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

This is a seasonal, remote (work at home) position. *Duration of this position is approximately 6-8 weeks must be available to work from October to December*

This position is fully remote; however, you must reside within 75 miles from the Maximus Lawrence, KS location.

You must be able to pick up and return your equipment at the Maximus Lawrence, KS location and you will also be required to go onsite to complete Federal clearance process/paperwork and obtain required fingerprints.

Equipment will be provided but must meet the remote position requirement provided below

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
- Follow procedures and directions to assess the quality of service provided through monitoring incoming calls and other work types which focusing on the quality of customer service, accuracy of information provided, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Conduct call monitoring sessions to ensure workers are performing in accordance with established quality and performance standards.
- Provide feedback on call monitoring results.
- Evaluate recorded and/or transcribed interactions of a complex nature between the caller/chatter/correspondent and the worker, and provide appropriate context of ratings.

- Evaluate recorded and/or transcribed interactions between the caller/chatter/correspondent and Customer Service Representatives using the QA evaluation solution, and provide appropriate context for ratings.

- Provide accurate scoring in accordance with approved criteria, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

- Effectively communicate clear, concise and balanced feedback via quality monitoring notes, providing agents a path to appropriate reference materials for additional guidance

- Notify Quality and Contact Center leadership of any egregious behavioral or performance issues identified during call monitoring

- Communicate trends identified during call monitoring that could affect Customer Service Representative performance, training, or the beneficiaries

- Review calls for Strategic Call Listening projects and capture data from the calls

- Maintain awareness of information updates through timely completion of scheduled training (e.g. Essential Job Training, Training Alerts, User Alerts, CUP Topics, and Supervisor Learning Lab sessions), and review all updated materials that cover new initiatives or changes to current Customer Service Representative processes

- Meet and exceed the daily requirement of evaluations. Acts as a team player in order for the team to meet QA monitoring workload

- Complete annual and quarterly required training prior to established deadlines

- Participate in weekly calibration sessions and maintain an acceptable monthly alignment score

- Support training delivery team by assisting in the presentation of Quality modules during new hire training, where applicable

- Handle inbound calls on a monthly basis and during specified high peak periods such as Open Enrollment period

- Maintain compliance to Standard Operating Procedures, CMS Quality Handbook, and CMS Quality Assurance Plan

- Comply with all customer/data privacy and security requirements

- Regular and predictable attendance is required

Minimum Requirements

- High School diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience.
- May have training or education in area of specialization.

• Minimum six (6) months of previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of education and experience preferred

• Proven track record of working independently in a self-directed role where work is self-initiated required
