Insight Global is seeking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Deputy Chief Compliance Officer for a global investment firm focused in the fintech space.
The Deputy CCO is to support the Chief Compliance & Legal Officer in overseeing and managing the firm's compliance program in accordance with the rules and regulations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
The Deputy CCO will play a key role in ensuring that the fund's operations comply with applicable federal securities laws, internal policies, and industry best practices.
The Deputy CCO will have direct responsibility for day-to-day compliance functions and will be instrumental in integrating technology into compliance processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capability.
-Assist the Chief Compliance & Legal Officer in managing and executing the firm's compliance program under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and applicable FINRA rules.
-Monitor and interpret regulatory developments affecting private funds, broker-dealers, and investment advisers.
-Conduct periodic compliance testing, risk assessments, and forensic reviews to identify potential gaps or deficiencies.
-Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
-Lead training sessions for employees on key compliance topics including Code of Ethics, AML, insider trading, and cybersecurity.
-Implement, manage, and optimize compliance technology platforms to automate surveillance, reporting, and testing workflows.
-Evaluate and integrate new compliance software solutions to improve oversight and reduce manual processes.
-Review and help prepare regulatory filings such as Form ADV, Form PF and Form U4/U5.
-Assist with regulatory exams and inquiries from the SEC, FINRA, and other regulatory bodies.

The Compliance Officer Senior - Mortgage is responsible for managing and maintaining assigned areas of the compliance program covering U.S. Mortgage Banking including monitoring business area compliance with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring controls are in place to mitigate compliance risk. - Assist with regulatory response, including regulatory audit management for state and federal examinations.
- Research and draft responses for client inquiries related to regulatory and compliance matters.

Minimum Requirements

- 5+ years of related professional experience required.

- Demonstrated experience leading teams with good/impactful executive presence.

+ Establishes and enhances effective compliance programs and designs policies to identify and prevent illegal, unethical, or improper business practices. Trains, monitors, and manages junior staff and remediates any issues. Constructively challenges conclusions/status quo and uses established credibility to influence customers.
+ Supports key business initiatives by drawing conclusions from data to identify compliance risks. Presents resolutions to manage and mitigate the identified risks to business partners. If necessary, escalates identified risks to senior team members. Identifies compliance impact on matters such as marketing materials, sales programs, product development, documentation review and other business initiatives. Works cooperatively with the business, legal partners, audit and other risk disciplines across the organization. May include developing, facilitating, and conducting Compliance training programs for junior staff.
+ Assesses activity for existing and emerging risks. Evaluates the materiality of the risks identified and presents recommendations on necessary risk mitigation to senior leadership. Uses knowledge on current laws, rules, and other regulatory requirements and drafts or assesses Compliance Manuals, Front Office materials, policies and procedures to ensure alignment. Manages regulatory examinations and inquiries, including the coordination of interviews and information requests from regulatory agencies.
+ Directs the compliance monitoring program and reviews activity to ensure it falls within established risk control limits. Identifies and defines the Compliance program objectives for assigned area, products/services, and applicable regulations. Communicates and socializes compliance program objectives to executive level business partners and junior staff, as applicable. Independently challenges analyses and formulates value-added recommendations. Advises junior staff on how to appropriately challenge analyses and how to formulate thoughtful recommendations as needed.
+ Completes a final review of compliance reports to identify common themes and widespread trends. Escalates issues through proper governance channels as needed, and recommends corrective action plans. Advises junior staff on report analysis techniques as applicable. Proposes revisions and implementation strategy for new/enhanced reports in order to ensure timely and effective compliance with regulatory requirements.
