We’re looking for a self-driven, resourceful, and disciplined Assistant Project Manager  to support the successful delivery of utility-scale wind projects across the U.S. This is a high-impact, growth-oriented role designed to develop future project leaders. You’ll be part of a team that partners with top energy clients nationwide to build a more sustainable future—one project at a time.

Working directly onsite, you’ll collaborate with field teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership to ensure projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll play a critical role in managing day-to-day operations, tracking progress, and solving problems in real time—while learning the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through close-out.

Location & Travel Details:  You’ll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build renewable projects. This is a traveling position (up to 100%), where you will be onsite at a project location. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. You’ll spend 8-16 months on average per project. We offer designated daily per diem in addition to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses.  A vehicle allowance will be provided. Our company has one of the industry leading rotational programs as well, with routine travel home from the jobsite.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of five years of Solar or EPC construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management

About this Role

FiberTel, LLC is looking to hire outstandingConstruction Workers/Laborers. THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION. In this role you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. Duties will include general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor.

Services may include placing poles, anchors and guys, aerial strand and cable, direct buried pipe, trenching cable, conventional and directional boring, placing underground conduit systems, performing inside wiring, cabling, and testing and maintenance services.

Pay: $20-23/hr - Subject to NV and CA Prevailing Wage Rates.

Travel: This position will be a project spanning from Reno, NV to Sacramento, CA.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

All phases of telecommunication construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.

  • Hand dig using shovel, mechanical tools.

  • Install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling.

  • Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.

  • Working in congested or remote areas.

  • Consulting manuals, read, interpret and use complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan work scopes, install requested improvements, and troubleshoot and correct problems
  • Ability to use technology i.e. basic computer literacy, ability to use trade tools and meters to perform the work
  • Attend sites daily
  • Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
  • Layout and assist in the assembly of solar modules / array, mounting hardware, and electrical equipment
Requirements
  • Solar or construction experience 0 - 3 years, lift 50 lbs. from ground and pull 50 lbs. of force, maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions work off ladders, man lifts or reach booms plus fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt
  • Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling
  • Ability to work in challenging environments (hot sun, cold, wind, tight spaces, etc.), capable of standing for long stretches of time and working at heights (on rooftops, climb ladders and stairs)
  • Ability to safely handle power tools, hand tools as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
  • Travel is mandatory and will vary dependent on business needs. Employees must be able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time, several times a year to various locations within the US. Must have compliant government issued identification for domestic air travel and/or to access certain federal facilities
  • Valid driver's license required
