Primary day-to-day responsibilities - Analyst
  • Work in close-knit project teams with significant exposure to senior leadership within the firm and clients
  • Perform primary- and secondary-source research using a variety of inputs, including industry-specific databases, trade and general news, company reports, industry reports, and other sources as needed
  • Track relevant competitive and industry trends & dynamics and create excel models and databases
  • Assist in distilling data into discrete analyses and insights to be incorporated into larger reports
  • Deliver/communicate reports and findings to management and/or executive leadership
Preferred qualifications
  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree (or recent graduate) preferably in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business, Political Science, Public Policy or other STEM related subjects
  • Internship, work experience, or demonstrated interest in the aerospace, defense, or government services sector - or - with a consulting firm, investment bank, private equity, or venture capital firm
  • Strong acumen in business writing and communication with clients and team members

HDR is looking for a Management Consulting Analyst in New England. They will work with a multi-disciplinary group of engineers, economists, analysts, and other professionals providing information that supports our clients in managing their assets in areas such as power generation, power distribution and transmission, building facilities, and data centers.

While the Management Consulting Analyst is not a design role, engineering or field experience is beneficial. Familiarity with equipment, facilities operation, and the demands on the trades staff maintaining and operating the equipment helps us develop better plans for our clients.

In the role of Management Consulting Analyst , we'll count on you to:

  • Analyze proposed options related to operations, systems or management changes and impacts of changes using knowledge of staffing, engineering, service provision, and management.
  • Confer with managers to obtain additional information or interpret policies and procedures related to change options.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to options and change evaluations
  • Perform analyst activities such as conducting research, applying software tools for analysis and presentation (Tableau, Smartsheet, Excel etc.), and identifying solutions to solve complex business issues.
  • Support client meetings, virtually or on site, with Consultant or Principal Consultant.
  • Support condition assessments, risk assessments, asset inventories, and spares analyses on infrastructure equipment. Develop decision making tools related to the data collected.
  • Prepare documents and presentations for clients.
  • Occasional travel to a client's offices or facilities. Field work may include onsite working meetings, job site walks, inventory assessments, or condition assessments.
  • Serve as task manager under project manager, beginning deputy project management duties.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews of work completed by other team members as needed.
  • Support Scope of Work and budget development for proposals.

What Youll Do:

What Youll Do:

As a Senior Analyst at Clearsulting, youll play a key role in driving client success through finance process improvement and technology transformation initiatives. Were seeking a proactive, ambitious self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and takes ownership of delivering impactful outcomes. Youll lead the design and execution of strategic initiatives by analyzing data, developing insights, and creating high-quality deliverables. Working closely with clients and internal teams, youll help streamline business processes, enable digital adoption, and drive operational efficiency. This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for problem-solving in dynamic environments.

  • Lead or support key workstreams of client engagements focused on improving finance processes and enabling technology-driven transformation.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop client deliverables including presentations, process documentation, and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with team members and client stakeholders to design and implement process and technology solutions.
  • Contribute to project management activities such as work planning, status tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Stay current on industry trends and support the development of internal knowledge assets and thought leadership.
  • Take ownership of project tasks with minimal oversight, proactively identifying issues and proposing solutions
  • Consistently follow all firm policies and guidance.

What Youll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 24 years of relevant experience and a strong foundation in consulting, corporate finance, accounting, or business analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead aspects of client projects including strong analytical / critical thinking/ problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and/or Alteryx is a plus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to maintain and enhance the Clearsulting culture build meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues, demonstrate the Clearsulting Core Values each day.
  • Proven track record of contributing to or supporting cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, as needed.
