+ Supports customer to submit and process origination and disbursement transactions or creates and submits on behalf of customer.
+ Assists customer with award origination and disbursement processing and identifying and resolving processing issues.
+ Supports inbound calling, outbound calling, email, web chat and outreach to customer to assist in resolving batch edits and errors, missing documents and signature pages, fixing data.
+ Provides monitoring support and outreach for batch processing issues and errors, edit code rejects, issue follow up and resolution as requested.
+ Logs cases, or updates an existing case as applicable, to record each phone, email, or web chat communication with a customer. Each phone communication will require a manual process to link the call to the open case. All cases shall be logged in a web-based agent desktop application.
+ Performs manual linking and unlinking of award records and promissory/agreement to serve notes.
+ Performs analysis of COD borrower data integrity situations identified by Customer.
+ Provides support to Customer to research and confirm COD processing status of data such as promissory notes, batch status, entrance counseling, exit counseling, borrower, grant recipient, borrower-servicer information, etc.
+ Support Services shall be executed in compliance with processing and program guidelines published by Customer.

**Job Summary:**
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) answers inbound calls from members and providers, inputs data, and provides a high level of customer service, always extending courtesy and professionalism. The CSR handles inbound customer service inquiries and problems via the telephone and email while effectively recording communications accurately and consistently. Calls are predominantly "routine", but may require deviation from standard screens, scripts and procedures. CSRs use a computerized system for tracking calls, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting and may assess needs, explain programs and suggest/promote alternative products or services.
**Start date:** January 5, 2026 (new hires must be able to start on this day)
**Training:** Two weeks from 8am - 4:30pm CT. New hires are unable to miss any days of training (1/5 - 1/16).
**Schedule:** Monday - Friday, must be open to any 8-hour shift between the hours of 7am - 9pm CST. This role requires one Saturday shift every 4-6 weeks. Exact shift will be assigned after training.

Customer Service Operations is responsible for providing outsourced services to customers relating to medical billing, medical reimbursement, and/or other services by acting as a liaison in problem-solving, research and problem/dispute resolution
**_Job Summary_**
The Representative II, Customer Service Operations processes orders for distribution centers and other internal customers in accordance to scheduling, demand planning and inventory. The Representative II administers orders in internal systems and responds to customer questions, clearly communicating delays, issues and resolutions. This job also processes non-routine orders, such as product samples, and ensures that special requirements are included in an order.
**_Responsibilities_**
+ Processes routine customer orders according to established demand plans, schedules and lead times using SAP and other internal systems. Enters all necessary order information, reviews order contents, and ensures that orders are closed once completed.
+ Responds to inquiries from internal customers, such as Distribution Centers, regarding order tracking information as well as on-hold, back order and high priority statuses.
+ Identifies and communicates resolutions to order delays, missing information, and product availability based on customer profiles.
+ Uses dashboards and reporting from internal systems to identify causes of order issues, such as lack of inventory or invalid measures or requirements in the order. Creates visuals and conducts analyses as necessary to understand and communicate order data and issues.
+ Coordinates with a variety of internal stakeholders, including Planners and externally-facing Customer Service Representatives, regarding customer issues.
+ For international shipping and in cases of special order requirements, coordinates with Quality and Global Trade teams in order to ensure compliance of orders.
+ Processes orders for product samples and trials, coordinating with Marketing teams as necessary to understand the purpose and requirements of the samples.
**_Qualifications_**
+ 1-3 years of experience, preferred
+ High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred

The Department of Labor (DOL) National Contact Center (NCC) directly supports all DOL's strategic goals by providing American public customers across the nation with timely, accurate and understandable information for a wide range of Departmental programs and services. To accomplish this, the DOL-NCC interacts with customers through the communication vehicle of their choice including telephones, self-service on the web, texting, email, U.S. mail and chat. The DOL-NCC supports public communications by providing live customer service support for telephone, voicemail, texting, faxing, chat, U.S. mail, and email communication methods.
**What is the position?**
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a significant role on a fully remote team that supports the DOL-NCC. As a CSR, you will be part of a team that supports the overall mission of the NCC by handling daily interactions with the American public.

**What will I get to do?**
As a CSR, you will have the opportunity to utilize your customer service skills and experience, as well as critical thinking skills, to support American consumers who have labor-related questions, such as questions about paychecks, how to contact a specific department or Government agency, and safety concerns in the workplace. During the handling of these inquiries, you will use a cloud-based telephony system and a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool for research and informational purposes. A successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a larger team which supports one another throughout the day.
**What qualifications do I need?**

+ **High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate**
+ **A minimum of two years call center customer service experience**
+ Oral and written communication skills sufficient to facilitate clear and accurate information exchanges with customers

+ Ability to handle inquiries and requests in a courteous and professional manner, including calls received in crises, and/or from abusive callers
+ Ability to listen to, empathize with customers, and acknowledge their concerns
+ Ability to follow protocol and to apply sensitivity and discretion in handling confidential information
+ Ability to gather and document information to determine a customer's needs, apply problem solving skills, and resolve the inquiry/request effectively

+ Ability to use the web to search and retrieve information

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
